My babysitter had this lawn mower at her daycare and my son had a blast playing with it. He loved it so much that when we would pick him up he would scream when he had to stop playing with it. So my husband and I decided to purchase one so he could play with it at home. It was the best purchase we made. He loves pushing it all over the yard. He will play with it for hours. Very sturdy construction. It's worth every penny.
My son was given 3 lawnmowers for his first birthday, and this is the one he has used for the past year and a half, almost EVERY day. It helped him with his wobbly walking when he turned one and now he runs with it. And not one piece has broke on it. It is very sturdy. We have to bring it in during the winter months so he can mow inside. It is a little noisy, especially when he runs with it, but it doesn't need batteries like the others he was given. It is also a favorite toy when other kids are over playing. I will be buying every little boy/girl I know one of these mowers. I highly recommend it.
My son loves to push his mower around and hear the balls popping and then it's cute to see him try to watch the balls pop too! The gear stick and gas cap are realistic and allow him to learn different movements. It's working great indoors...we've yet to try it outside.
We bought this product for entertainment for our toddler. He loves it. It keeps him busy, which is reason enough to buy anything!! It is sturdy and was well worth the price, which was really reasonable!!
This is actually our second Little Tykes mower. Our son wore out the first one. He drove it hard and we left it out in the elements. It might have lasted longer otherwise. He really missed it so we purchased this one on walmart.com and did the site to store shipping. Our store is in the middle of a huge remodel but it didn't seem to hold up the delivery. I'll definitely use the site to store shipping again.
My 16 month old loves this mower! He pretends like he is putting gas in the mower like daddy. It's built well. The only annoyance for me is that it is a bit top heavy so whenever I move it and sometimes when my son is running with it, it will fall over. However, not a big deal and I would recommend.
My son received this for x-mas when he was just 15 months old. We kept it inside for awhile and he loved pushing it around. When spring came, it went outside and he hasn't stopped pushing it. He's 3 now, and still loves to push his lawn mower around. He drives it on our path, up and down the lawn...it's kept him busy for hours. The only complaint I have is the popping noise. It gets obnoxious, but aren't most toys after awhile?! Overall, this is one of the best, most used toys we've had in three years.
This is a cute lawnmower that we use inside. It does tend to fall back easily, so sometimes it trips the babies up. Then sometimes they are zipping across the room wide open for 10 minutes-lol I am glad we bought it, but probably would have gotten more use if we had it around 10-12 mos old vs 2 yrs old. They still play with it, but probably would have come in handy when they were learning to walk. I am happy, happy, happy it is american made! I would still buy again even at 2 yrs of age.
My 20 month old son pushed other play mowers around lawns like crazy when we were visiting, so I bought this to keep him occupied when we were doing yard work outside. He loves it, loves that it looks just like Daddy's, and opens the "gas tank" all the time, though has trouble closing it. The big issue with it is that it doesn't move well on the lawn unless the grass is cut REALLY short...kind of defeats its' purpose if he has to stay in the driveway while Daddy's mowing.
My son got this for his 1st birthday. It doesn't work as a support for a child who can't walk yet because it tips easily. Once he could walk he could push it fine on the sidewalk or our deck, but it sits so low to the ground at 18 months old it is still impossible for him to push in the grass. We can push it in the grass but it has to be at just the right angle to make it go. I expect my next summer when he's over 2 maybe he will be able to push it in the grass but we shall see. What fun is a mower that won't move in the grass?
