I purchased this item for my daughter to enjoy for the upcoming holiday traveling and she already loves it!
Okay--- Don't panic. :-) This is a crayon holder/dry-erase board. If your child uses the crayons on the board itself, use WINDEX to get it off. Should come right off with that. But the board itself is for dry-erase markers, not the crayons. The crayons are for the coloring booklet, not the DESK. :-) With all that said, how perfect is this? Went on sale for $5 with .97 cent shipping. The other sites were selling it for $25 with out shipping... I looked everywhere for dry-erase boards for my daughter with no luck just a few short years ago. I am a widow, so I take my daughter everywhere, doctors apts for us would be perfect to have this at. She is in kindergarden this year and talks about the dry-erase board there and how she wants to be able to practice her writting at home. I see this as a Santa gift in the making!
I bought this item for my son. We have been using this for road trips. The desk has to sit on his lap for him to use it, but he loves it! We strap the desk on the seat to store it when he isn't using it so we don't lose the colors and papers.
It kind of gets in the way when the kids are getting into my suburban. Also, if its hot out the crayons are melty. The screen doesn't come clean too easy. Have to buy a magic eraser to clean it off for them to draw again.
First off the item didn't fit on the seat properly.. but there are so many different types of seats that a company can't make a product to fit them all.. so after I got the thing attached neither of my two kids could reach it- a 3 yo and a 2 yo.- even if I put the seat further back. The area is supposed to be wipeable so that it can be reused. I didn't expect it to come completely off but it didn't come off at all. Needless to say the toy ended up being thrown in the back of my SUV with the other junk. Waste of money
I bought this as a gift for my niece on her 4th birthday. I thought she could use it when we go to see my grandmother on the weekend, but when we attached it to the car seat she couldn't reach it so we had to take it off and she had to put it in her lap. Then when she used the crayons and tried to erase them the sponge didn't work that well.
