We got this for our 1 year old for Christmas and she loved it! The hardest part was putting on the microwave, oven and fridge door…otherwise it was pretty easy! She loves it and her little Melissa and Doug food accessories (not included) go well with it. The ice machine is a cute addition as well!
This kitchen is great for my 3.5 year old. I like that it has a little "growing room" for her. She couldn't wait to start playing with it. There is plenty of places for her to put her "food, pans, dishes". The microwave turntable is turned by hand under it with a knob that you attach. The stove knobs turn and click and the sink faucet and handle also turn. The plastic handles are sturdy and I like the side handle - great for hanging a towel or potholder from. There is also 3 little hooks for accessories. The doors latch gently and also have stops you install. If opened too hard or fast, I could see the doors being broken, but with a little teaching to "be gentle" or "don't slam the doors" it will last a good long while. The kitchen is sturdy and heavy. They have included both stabilizer feet for free standing and also a stabilizer strap for wall support. Just so you know - it's not real wood - it is a laminated pressed wood like so many other things these days. I wouldn't advise liquids around it or setting it where it can absorb moisture. Little drops of something shouldn't hurt it and it could be wiped clean easily. The instructions were easy to follow and the headings were amusing and made the job more enjoyable. They packaged the screws in such a manner that made it easier for me to know which pieces went where. Everything was labeled clearly. The only thing I would change? The directions for attaching the metal brackets in Step 19 and Step 24. I'd have done them before attaching the doors so I didn't have to lay on the floor and push up on the screw driver and also so that my screwdriver didn't have to fit in tight places. I made it through the process okay though with only a little frustration. It did take me about three hours with pacing myself and not being in a hurry. One more thing - the vehicle we were transporting it in was involved in an accident (everyone was okay) but the car was totaled... the packaging kept the pieces from getting damaged. I was concerned that edges would be mashed or torn and they weren't. Everything was pristine. On a lighter note: Wish I'd done it while she was napping or after bedtime - she kept trying to "help". The cutest thing I think is that they've included two "ice cubes" for the ice cube dispenser.
The quality of this kitchen is very good for the price. I love that it is one of the taller kitchen sets, so my granddaughter will get more years of play out of it. It took a while to put together, but it's definitely worth the effort.

I would have given 5 stars however, I was surprised to see the marbled countertop was so pronounced. Its not a soft subtle marble look. It almost looks like splattered ink, looks dirty. Wish this could be corrected. However, the set up has already been completed. Will have to deal with it now. Other things to note, microwave door doesnt have a soft close, just swings open.
door handles fell off and wont stay on with 3 days after assembly.
