I love this doll! Everything about her is high quality, and each detail is perfect. The clothes are the nicest I've seen on any doll in a long time, the body mould is great and is a big improvement from the sticky, bendy legs on most Barbies. There are even painted toe and fingernails! The included microphone looks so real, and the stand holds the doll up well. One thing that's really great about this doll is that it actually looks just like Barbra Streisand. In my own personal experience with celebrity Barbie dolls, the actual product doesn't usually end up looking much like the real person, but this one is an exception. The face and expression are spot on, and the hair and make-up are just lovely, much better than the picture. Even the nose is correct! I chose to unbox mine because I like to actually enjoy my dolls rather than just look at them behind plastic, and I've discovered because of this that she's one of the most fun dolls to try different outfits on because she looks good in anything. The only con is that right out of the box, her hair is awful looking and shellacked with hairspray. I washed it out with soap and warm water and then combed it to make it look natural and make the bangs visible. I think it's great that Ms. Streisand finally got her own Barbie doll. For Barbie or Barbra fans, this is a very special treat.
I was shopping for a Barbie doll for my granddaughter when I came across the Barbra Streisand doll. I had no idea she had a doll out. I am very happy with the doll. It is a very good likeness of her. I am a big fan and am thrilled to add this doll to my collections.
The shipping was fast. Beautiful doll but the box was a bit messed up and this is a problem for a doll collector.
Best price for product after reviewing other web sites and also Barbie.com. I was very satisfied with the quick delivery and careful packaging of product. Would recommend and also buy on line again from Walmart.
The Barbra Streisand doll is very nice. The doll is realistic looking and does look like Barbra in her earlier days. The outfit she's wearing is a true likeness to the one worn in "Funny Girl" You will be happy with this doll.
When I heard about this doll on the Oprah show I knew I HAD to have it. I was happy that I could order it online at Walmart and was very satisified with the whole process. I only wish Mattel would have given the doll a slight bang like the real Barbra has in the picture on the box. Since Barbra OK'd the doll, I will trust there was a good reason for it and display her with pride.

No doubt, anything with Barbara Streisand 's name on it is a collectors item. The sad thing is that this doll, whiich is a fair to poor resemblance of Ms. Streisand - is way over priced. The good thing is that Walmart provides the best price for this doll. I can't believe the majority of the companies I looked at wanted at or near $60.00 for this. I guess this is a good way to add to Ms. Streisand's retirement fund - as if she needs that.
I was disapointed in the dolls hair which is very stiff and glued down in place with no flexibility at all. The hair is very flat and drab looking. It does not look like how the hair appears on line. One can not style it or improve the hair. The picture on the box showed bangs the doll has no bangs at all. I also would have liked for the legs to have been bendable.
My wife is not only a big fan of Barbra, but a collector of Barbie dolls. The box was damaged in packing; therefore the doll is worthless on the collector's market.
