I got this for my 2 year old little girl, who LOVES to read but I just don't have time to sit for hours a day reading to her. So, this was the answer! I told her his name was T.J. but somehow she got "A.J" out of it and wants AJ all the time. She goes to bed asking for AJ, she wakes up and asks for AJ. She wants to feed AJ and give him a bath. She thinks he is real. She is constantly "telling" him to sing a certain song. I try to explain that AJ can only sing songs that he knows, but she wants to teach him more songs. I can't wait to get her more books! This was a WONDERFUL gift!!!
I love this toy...my eldest got it for his b-day and has loved it ever since. Even his brother and sister love it. I put them down for their naps and turn it on and the listen to it and then take a nap. It allows me to clean up while they wind down. Then for bed I read the books that come with the bear. Love it.
My daughter received this for her 3rd Birthday, and has listened to a Bearytale every day! My one year old daughter loves it too. We listen to TJ at the breakfast table and it keeps them focused on eating! The stories are cute and interactive. TJ will play simon says, sing silly songs and ask the children questions. This part of TJ exceeded my expectations because he does not simply tell stories, he engages the children. Each Bearytale comes with a book and a cartridge so older children can follow along with the book. TJ is so super animated - it is wonderful! We love this bear!
I bought this for a GREAT deal for my nephew for Christmas. He lives out of state so when I visited last month, I went ahead and gave it to him. He loves books so I thought he would really enjoy TJ Bearytales. So far so good. He's only 19 months old so sitting still to follow along is not what he is interested in right now but he does love to watch TJ read and he enjoys the books by themselves. He likes TJ's songs. I think the books that are available are wonderful and teach some great lessons in a cute and interactive way. I can only imagine he'll enjoy TJ for many years to come :-)
when I first bought this bear from Walmart in 2006 the Bear w/ his book and cartridge was $60. Fast forward to 2019 their asking for $300. Parents he is absolutely worth every penny. You will fall in love w/ how special this bear is. My daughter and I loved to listen to is his story the illustration in the books jump off the page. And we loved singing the songs. very good toy, very good investment. I promise you and your child will love this bear. BTW, get at least 2 more books and cartridge's w/ your purchase, or you'll be online looking for more of his adventures
the bear came exactly when it said that it should and was fully intact. plus it was a gift so they were able to conseal it's contents well. I am happy with how the bear functions and the kids love him!
I found this product on sale so naturally had to get it and put it away. I couldn't wait any more so I opened it up for my 4 month old. He absolutly loves it. He lasted through the entire story and smiled the entire time. I can't wait to see how he is when he's older. I love the fact that the story is being told but there are also words and pictures to look at. It will help build sight words and kids can follow along or even read aloud. Very cool produst.
TJ Bearytales is a must have for small children. My son and grandson love to play with him and listen to him sing and tell stories. It is truly a wonderful and must have gift for your little ones. They are amazed by it at a very young age and still loving it as athey grow up to be toddlers. Probably the best toy bought last Christmas will be hard to top it this year.
I bought this toy for my 2 year old daughter as a Christmas gift in 2006. I paid $39.98. It's a bagrain now at $19.98. Moms, grab this guy at this great price while you can! My two daughters love TJ, and tirelessly listen to him year round. I made the mistake of letting my two year old handle TJ, so his movements are somewhat askew, but only I notice that.
We bought this for our 17 month old granddaughter for Hanukkah with the understanding that it is better for older children and that she will appreciate it more as she grows. She really likes the way he speaks and moves. He reminds me of a Disneyworld character. It is a very entertaining toy at a great price. We bought several books for the future. Based on the reviews I have read, I expect she will enjoy them over the next few years.
