I think that Elmo is a great toy. He rolls all over the place and laughs, then gets back up. It comes with one clue to tell you how to make him sing and dance but to get the rest of the clues you have to get on the website for fisher price. My 11 month old is scared of it though. She is okay if she is holding on to me. As soon as it turns on if she isn't close to someone she hurries to get to someone. I think that the rolling around kind of makes her scared. I am trying to work with her on it and let her know that it is okay so I play it once a week or so.
I have to be honest. I purchased this great toy/therapeutic device for myself, my family, my students and colleagues. Not only is it great for entertaining the little ones. Tickle Me Elmo T.M.X. is great laugh therapy for any age. The little bugger with it's added secret tickle clues keeps the entertainment varied and extended. He has turned many a bleak moment into giggly fun.
This T.M.X. Elmo is very funny, everyone likes this toy, even the adults, loads of laughs.
No small children in my life and I do not care much about toys of any type . . . But this little guy makes me laugh! You gotta' laugh with him!! I don't know if he can fix a bad day, but he is worth having around anyway. He is just plain funny. We all need a laugh and TMX Elmo can sure deliver on that score! This is a toy for adults with bills to pay, laundry to do and errands to run, things that can take fun out of the day. He is great to have around at the end of your day when you need a chuckle!
My 2 year old enjoys this product, as well as her four siblings, her father, and myself. She received it for a Christmas gift. My 2 year old can push the buttons herself, both the on/off and the buttons to activate Elmo into laughing. The extra surprises are hard to do figure out on your own, but the web site for the TMX Elmo is very easy to understand and to follow in order for Elmo to do the extras. I definitely think this is a terrific buy for the price at Wal-Mart. Elmo does so many extras like sitting down and standing back up or rolling onto his tummy and standing back up all on his own. I also appreciate the fact the batteries are behind a compartment that has to be screwed. This protects the toddler/youngster from accidental opening to the batteries.
The product is great with the exception of the clues to make him do things. I wish they were included with the instructions. Walmart is exceptional in their shipping and handling.
Great price, hard to find this toy anywhere else.
I was impressed by the many moves this toy has...evnthough my son is 14 months he quickly learned to push buttons to make ELMO do his moves. He laughed a lot and he played all day on Christmas. Since this is a plush toy my son constantly picked it up and held him.
I ordered this at the last minute, for Christmas and I had it mailed standard. It was here within 2 days and under the time estimated. I was thrilled and so was everyone in the family. We get a giggle everytime someone plays with it. It really isn't educational. But, on the other hand isn't laughter rated for something, mentually and physically it is great medicine as someone once said.
We bought this when it first came out because my son thought it was hilarious when he was 6 months old, and at first he loved it but only if me or my husband was sitting beside him with it, he never plays with it by himself, and it just drains batteries, I can't even count the number of packs of batteries we had to buy for this, and now it sits in his play room, and is never even thought of by him or us. I would only recommend this for kids who are easily amused and like to play with stuff by theirselves.. My son has many toys that he'll play with alone but also a lot that he doesn't touch or only touches if my husband and I are playing with it.. It's just no good for my kid.. maybe my younger son will like it when he gets old enough to play with it..
