I love this bed for my little girl so far. The only reservations I have for others are 2 things: (1) bed was slightly damaged (scuffed) through shipping & (2) you cannot use a bed skirt. I love the color as it is true to description.
This bed was extremely easy for my husband to put together. There was nothing missing or broken when we picked it up. It took only about a half hour to put together and, luckily supported my weight so I could get our 2-year old daughter to sleep in it the first night she used it. It is also low enough to the floor that when there were a couple falls out of the bed there was no damage done to our daughter or the bed. After reading the reviews on the plastic beds, I chose to spend a little extra money for a better quality bed so that it can be re-used again in the future for a boy or girl.
I purchased this bed for my 2 year old and I have been very impressed. It was simple to put together (took less then 30 minutes) and it is very sturdy. The color goes perfectly with my other furniture in the room and it looks like it costs much more then what I paid. I have only had it for about a month so it is hard to say how long it will last but so far I love it!!!
This was a great online purchase! The bed was fairly easy to put together (the hardest part was inserting the slats on the bottom of the bed), and it arrived in perfect condition. The craftsmanship is nice, and the quality of wood is good. I would (and have!) recommend this bed to anyone with a toddler who is ready to move out of the crib. Our 20-month old daughter loves how easy it is to climb in and out on her own.
I bought this bed for my 2 year old daughter to transition from her crib and she loves it! It was very easy to assemble, (I did it 7 months pregnant by myself in about 1/2 hour), and it looks just like the picture. My daughter took right to her "big girl" bed and has slept great in it since the first night and doesn't seem to miss her crib at all! A great little bed for the price, perfect for toddlers not quite ready for a twin bed (sits low to the ground just in case they roll out, but the rails prevent MOST of this).
This is a very nice toddler bed. We chose this one because it matches our Storkcraft crib. My husband didn't have too much trouble putting it together and it did not take very long. The only problem is that the side rails were very difficult to get tightened in. One of them is already loose again after the bed only being used for 2 weeks.
We read all the reviews and still loved this bed. It was cheaper here than at Babies R Us by a few dollars, and we had gift cards so we decided to get it here. It is a beautiful bed. Don't believe the Walmart pictures of this bed, it's not greenish in color. Its a slightly darker shade of oak than we hoped for, but we were expecting a slight difference from our 2 year olds current furniture. Our daughter loves it. She is tall for her age, 36 inches at last check, and this bed is much easier for her to get in and out of than her crib was. She had been sleeping in a crib with one side rail taken off after she fell trying to climb out. The bed is solid and can even support the weight of my husband or I sitting on it with her (Though we haven't tried the three of us together.) The safety rails are zipped tied on at the moment but will be removed soon as our daughter wont sleep at that end of the bed. (She doesn't like the rails.) The bolts that came with the bed for the safety rail installation aren't long enough to enter the thread pattern. We were going to buy new bolts but since she doesn't like it anyway we are just going to remove them all together. All in all this is a lovely bed. It's dark enough that it could be for a boy, but still soft enough that a little girl will love it too.
I recently purchased this product in oak along with a Baby Relax toddler bed in cherry (as oak is not available in Baby Relax). I hoped that the $100 bed might be better made than the $59 model, but alas, it was not so. Unless you have a burning need for the oak colour, save yourself some $ and buy the Baby Relax brand. Neither bed has centre support feet so they are both not as strong as other similar models that were out only a couple years ago. This year, I could not find one toddler bed that had centre feet for added support. The one disadvantage with the Baby relax is that when you tighten the screws, the paint around the screws cracks (so the Storkcraft was better in that respect, but not $40 better). Both beds look very nice, but any of these wooden "low end" toddler beds will not last long, they are basically throw away models that might get you a couple years. I'm on the second one with my daughter, but because they are so cheap I don't really sweat the cost. The other problem with these is that if your kids are "chewers' (or goats, as mine are!) the beautiful finish will last about 1 day, as the pine wood is very soft. If they are not chewers, you might have yourself a beautiful looking bed! Just don't let them jump on the bed as the frames will crack if your kids are too rambunctious (and because there are no centre support feet). Overall, you get what you pay for, I expected a bit more from Storkcraft as you can see from my ratings, but if it were not for the colour, the Baby Relax model is just as good.
Looks good, rails are not high enough with the matress, they should be at least another 3inches high. Its also a little tricky to assemble but for the price it'll do the job
got this bed for our 2 year old grandson. He slept in the bed for 2 naps, a total of 4 hours. He stood up on the bed and we heard a crack and one of the bed slats had broken in half. Grandson weighs 31 pounds and is small. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the slats but thought that maybe the combination of them it would be okay, but it was not. Would not recommend this bed to anyone.
