This bike is as a commuter bike. It folds up easy and weighs only 23 lbs. It fits easily in a car trunk, an office cubicle, on a train. Great for 2-3 mile rides and short trips. If longer rides, I would rather go with a Full size bike with more gears. This bike rides as expected for what it is. Someone I met had a more expensive European fold-up bike and tried this and said it was as good or better than his $500 bike.
Bought this bike as a gift for a friend who has had both hip joints replaced. The low center bar height was great for letting him get on the bike with his limited hip mobility and the upright sitting posture and the thickly padded seat make it much more comfortable to ride. Also the fact that it can be folded and locked in the trunk of his car so he always has it if the mood hits to go for a ride made it a great choice. The craftsmanship looks to be top rate and the frame is exceptional sturdy with no wobble or sense of looseness in the joints. The carrying rack on the back is very sturdy. I don't know anyway of making the bike lighter (carbon fiber?) while keeping the strength or more portable except if it would roll on the wheels when folded. If I could suggest, a carry bag would protect the bike and make it easier and safer to transport. The box it came in could be stronger to hold up in shipping better. Although the box was badly damaged, practically every surface is wrapped for protection and there are no loose parts. They are all attached so there is no chance of losing them in shipping. The bike was quite intuitive and easy to assemble, I didn't have to reference the instruction sheet once. Just unfolding it, a few simple adjustments, checking the tightness of a few fasteners and airing up the tires was all that was needed to get it ready to ride.
The bike is well made. Very sturdy construction. Fairly easy to unfold and fold. I had intended to use the bike for exercise on my lunch break. However, it's a bit too heavy and awkward for putting on the conveyor belt at the security check. One other thing, it would have been great if it rolled while it's folded. I never really rode the bike but I think it would have handled well on fairly smooth surfaces. Unfortunately, 23 pounds is a bit too heavy for me to handle, and I'm no weakling.
Easy and quick to unfold and setup. They should add a 600 - 700 watt DC motor on the front hub with a 36 or 48 V battery and it would be better as a small motorbike.
Item is as described. Use bicycle for riding around in RV Parks. Shifting is not as easy as expected but does work with effort/timing by rider.
This bike is a practical product for people who live in a motor home, as it easily folds up small enough to fit in the basement of the RV. The maximum recommended seat height is a little less than ideal for me (I am 6' tall with 34" inseam). The gear shifting at least needs adjustment but may never be correct (it is a 6 speed bike but only 5 speeds can be selected without the chain coming off the rear sprocket). I recommend the product, but improvements could be made to it.
I bought the bike and returned it (less the shipping charges). The finish is not very nice. Maybe useful to other people but to me felt too rough around the edges.
It broke at my first ride. Cost me a lot of effort and costs to return it to a Walmart store. The gear shifter in the back is made of plastic!
