I have used this drill around the house, building furniture, rebuilding cars and trucks, fabricating steel, anchoring in concrete since 1985. Any time I need serious power while drilling. I do take good care of it and it has NEVER let me down. If I ever break it, I will buy another one just like it.
This is the benchmark against all drills ever made. It is a solid heavy ultra rugged tool, with awesomely smooth speed control. Perfect for shop/industrial use. My drill came with a Jacobs chuck, need I say more. It can take anything you can throw at it. I bought mine over 23 years ago and it is still running like the first day!
Incredibly sturdy. Excellent speed control. More than enough power (Use that side handle!). I've had mine about 10 years or so and have used it for just about everything on the farm at least once as well as more than a few large metal projects. Nothing stops it and nothing kills it. It is not the lightest drill around but I'll take the overall durability tradeoff anyday.
I use this drill everyday - especially when I need to bore large holes through heavy stock. This drill has plenty of power to get the job done. My only wish is that it came with the 25' cord.
I have build several houses with a single magnum drill. No problems.
