Can't review this based on personal use, but this tool was chosen as a gift because of the Dremel reputation extending back many decades.
I bought this product because atleast you can buy parts and acc. for it as for the other brands you can't buy parts for.Plus I love Dremel products
This is a great little mult-function tool. Great product at a great price. Highly recommend for craftsmen of all skills/trades.
Plan on trimming some plastic covers and install a lamp fixture cutting a thin sheet metal.
Every model builder either has one or wishes he had one of these versatile tools. Dremel has dominated the field as lond as I can remember, and I am 87. There are different models of course and I recommend this one with variable speed. Go ahead. Shed a couple more bucks. You owe it to yourself. A chuck is available and I recommend you get that too. That greatly increases the versatility. The collet is fine except it does limit you to one shank size, and the chuck costs only about 5 dollars. My old Dremel served me well and often for about 30 years and I would have it still, except I lost it in the move to a rest home. But this one has astonishing power.
i got this for a xmas prize and i love it i do some small woodworking product and i use it for my grass busness tobut i have a extra set of brushes for it but u can not buy they at the store no more yeahi use my drmel for detail work and grinding and much much
I have had many Dremels in the past. This is the first one I've bought that didn't come with a storage case. And the new and inproved design is less comfortable than the old style. Would have paid double to get what they once sold. To bad you can't
I ordered this to attach a pedticure head on. It is nice having the variable speeds and doesn't seem to weigh to much. It will be used mostly to groom dog nails but I'm sure I'll find other uses. Only negative would be a somewhat tight chuck. I had a hard time removing an attachment. I'm sure this will loosen up over time so I'm not to worried. Overall, pretty pleased with it.
This is the second one of these I have owned and both of the switches failed. A product like this should last more than 8 months. Before they were "improved" my Dremel tool lasted for years.
this was the second "new" generation Dremel i have bought....lets hope the last....the variable speed switch died on first...i want my dad's OLD one but he won't come off it......go figure....and he jury rigged the first one i bought after the switch died to work full speed....and i burned up the motor first use after...they just don't make em like they used to my Dad's old could go for hours with out getting too hot
