[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These cut-off disks are amazing and long lasting! I can't even begin to tell you how many different uses you can do with these disks, I wish I had these when I was a kid, one tool, so many uses VS How many different tools (one tool, one job)!

It is amazing how well these wheels serve a purpose to get into small areas that other tools cannot work. Dremel makes a slightly thicker one as well, but if you need a small kerf for rewelding metal parts back together, this is better. One must however, be aware they will breal easier if sideways pressure is applied(be sure to wear safety glasses)
The 409 abrasive wheel is my most used wheel and closely followed by the 420. This is best used for small items like small screws and rods etc like in model rc vehicles, aircraft, and boats. I use them for my business of restoring antique clocks, industrial and antique home sewing machines. They are used for cleaning and dressing precision screw heads along with cutting down screws and cutting new slots. You have to use light pressure, slower rpm's and you to remain steady in the cut or they will break as they are only .025" thick. If this is a problem you need to move up to the 420 as they are thicker and slightly more resistant to binding and flexing. I've been using the heck out of them for over 15 years in my one and only Dremel model 395.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bough this a few months ago. The convenience of these cut of wheels are so awesome. The wheels cut like a hit knife through butter. It's very easy to change a cutoff wheel out if you should whear it out simply shut off your tool and a little push down on the wheel and turn and reverse actions to put a new one back on!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Cut-Off Wheels are one of the best upgrades of the Dremel tool sets. It seems that the cutting wheels always need to be replaced before the task has been completed. The old technique of securing the wheel on to the shaft with a screw was effective. Now, the new wheel is "snap off" and "snap on". Unfortunately, the new wheels are notably more expensive.

The screw has been lost many times and broken the wheel by over tightening the screw. Yes, it costs more, however it is worth it.

These "cutting" discs are so fragile that only the slightest pressure perpendicular to the disc will break it -- quite possibly shattering it -- sending shards flying who-knows-where. They also wear down extremely fast, so get used to changing discs frequently if you're cutting anything remotely harder than say . . . cardboard.
