[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used these brushes to clean the rust off of some battery terminals, they were small and easy to get all the way around the terminal in the space I had. Great product. Would highly recommend for any light to medium cleaning of metal.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the carbon steel brush to remove some rust from a few of my hand tools that were left out on the deck and the rains had taken their toll on them. I didn't think it was gonna do anything but it removed it pretty easily. I was impressed by the performance.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Removing the old varnish from the detailed carvings of a family heirloom became a simple project using a carbon steel brush with my Dremel. This refinishing project moved along quickly with the small, precise brushes. It made what would have been an enormously time-consuming job very doable and allowed me to restore the beautiful wood frame of this antique marbletop table to look better than ever.
I've spent many hours cleaning 100+ years of dried oil, grease, and hand grime from all parts of Vintage Sewing Machines with Great little wheels and my trusty Dremel. It's amazing to transform dirty, rusty, unrecognizable hunks of junk, into bright Shiny fully functional pieces of Americana.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dremel products always seem to be a cut above. I've tried aftermarket accessories for my rotary tools, but they never measure up to Dremel quality. Once again I have found that to be true with the 447 carbon steel brush set. I have used them to clean up small parts for my 1929 Ford Model A. The small, hard-to-get places are no problem for these wheels. Whether cleaning out the threads on bolts or eliminating rust from original Ford parts, these accessories are indispensable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These carbon steel brushes do exactly what they're supposed to - cleaning/polishing of metal surfaces. The brush life is just okay - pretty standard for these attachments (cleaned two pruning shears and remaining brush diameter was about half).
I have used Dremel products for years. Just bought a new one a month ago. The little wire brushes are great to get in those hard to reach places. The down-side has ALWAYS been that they just don't last long for the price. I wish they sold just the wheel. Why pay for the shank? The EZ Lock should hold it in place. Might cut down on the price and would surely make swapping out wheels easier - especially since they don't last long.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The carbon steel brush set 477 from dremel is a really nice addition to any tool box. The brushes are able to get into tight areas without much effort, and when using polishing compound the brushes leave a pretty decent finish on soft materials.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these and saw they are recommended for removing rust, and what better test than my project truck. Overall, they did a decent job removing the rust, however after trying the stainless steel brushes, there was no contest to the superior bit for the job. I will say for something as large as a truck, these may not be the ideal tool for the job just due to the size. However, if you have something smaller that doesn't have a decade of rust on it, they should work just fine.
THIS PRODUCT THAT I BOUGHT WORKS WELL, BUT DOESN'T LAST THAT LONG...............
