I use these for watchmaking and reparting for removing rust from delicate pieces, and this wheel does the job. I have never had the bristles fall out.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought product about two weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised at how efficient the product was.i used it to clean and polish a 1892 brass perfume tray which came out awesome
Works well for a couple minutes, but wire bristles fall out quickly even under light pressure. Had same problem with several of the steel brushes as well.
The bristles fall off of the wheel within a few minutes. Plan on buying many more packs of these than expected to get any job done.
The wire falls out shortly after using. To make matters worse, when the bristles fall outs they stick in your clothes, gloves, hair, and everything else. Was glad I used eye protection. I would not recommend the wire wheel but I do like Dremel tools.
We use these in carving out softwood on the deadwood of our bonsai trees at Artisans Bonsai. They work great for about 5 mins. Adding super glue around the center of the spindle buys us another 5 but that's it. Can't you make these STRONGER? I need another solution. All brushes have the same problem.
