I've gone through several different methods to sign and date my work but this engraver is the easiest and fastest method I've found. Very ergonomic so I can even do script. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
For the last thirteen years I have engraved the dates of the Oregon rain inside on recycled light bulbs before they go into our gallery as Oregon Du Drops. I use the Dremel engraving tool (290-01) with a diamond-tip engraver (9929). It writes clearly, neatly, and rarely goes through the very thin glass of the light bulb. The only trouble I have ever had with it is a bit of difficulty loosening the tip when it gets dull. I wouldn't use any other engraver for this delicate job.
This engraver is easy to use, and works well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product! I got this with the intentions of prepping fossils. Well made and easy to use. The stencil is kind of small and the bit should be a little longer. But for the price this is a great little engraver!
Works Perfectly! Thanks zoro! #SWEEPSTAKES [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
great product. easy to use
I purchased this for engraving my info on my suppressor, since the ATF requires it. I went to my local printing shop and had some labels made with all the needed information and used them for stencils for the engraving. After a couple test tries, I did the actual one and it turned out great. The engraver worked as needed on half speed and did best on the hard aluminum using the steel tip that came with it. Great little tool and will use it for other projects.
I bought this to sign the brass on the turkey trumpet yelpers that I make. Did a great job and works perfect!!!
I have an old WEN engraver that's still in use. Bought this one because I could get the diamond tip accessory to use on stainless steel. Both the carbide tip it came with and the diamond tip I bought work well with this Dremel. Can't complain about the noise (unless you expect to violate the laws of physics). The tips did not come loose as others experienced. I don't love the grip but it just takes getting used to as compared to the skinnier WEN body. Cord is somewhat stiff and makes engraving a bit more challenging but it should make it less likely to experience wear and shorting out down the road.
I can't really comment on the use of this product since I ordered it and have not used it yet, just was super aggravated that it came with no bits and the web site does not tell you that you have to order the bits separetly.... Arrrrrrgh... Ordering them now
