Love it when you live in a old home or just want to light up a dark room from across the room this is perfect - :)
This remote outlet provided a simple solution without having to install new wiring for a wall switch. It is perfect device to light up dark closets or storage rooms. This purchase was a replacement of the same that lasted over 5 years.
This product saves time. Getting up and turning off the light can be a chore for a lot of people including me. Most of the time I'm ok but other times it's a pain. I think you know what I mean. Put it within reach of your bed and just flip the switch to off and go to sleep. When you get up flip it on. Great! This Wireless light switch can protect you from falling at night and is great for Security. Pretty cool huh?
I was concerned after reading the other reviews. But this worked perfectly!! My master bedroom has no ceiling fixture, and no light switch. This inexpensive switch allows me to turn a light on and off from a switch I mounted near the door. Way better than tearing walls and the ceiling apart and wiring everything that way. The switch runs off of 1 9 volt battery.
This switch works well even with an LED light figure. I have not had any signal issues with the switch being quite close to the plug. Also there is absolutely no delay in the switching action either on or off.
Got this through site-to-store. Easy to install and the switch works great. Solves the problem of having to maneuver into a corner to turn on a lamp every time. Will be buying another for a different room. I attached the switchplate to the wall with Velcro next to the other wallswitch; it sticks out about 1.5 inches, but it's no big deal--the major convenience provided is well worth that minor visual bug. And it is value-priced at Walmart.
needed a way to switch on a lamp for a older lady with arthritis----this was the perfect answer. Plugged in the lamp, placed the battery-operated switch on her bedside table---no more problems trying to turn a little knob on and off....she loves it---so will you...:)
The other reviews are right sometimes the switch doesn't want to react. But honestly that wouldn't stop me from buying it. :) its been absolutely perfect for what I bought it for.
It was easy to install and is easy to use. It works. The only trouble is that the light switch itself is not quite as high of quality as it could be. Sometimes we will flip the switch and nothing happens. After wiggling it a bit we can feel the connection inside being made and the outlet switches on/off. Minor inconvenience and otherwise it works fine. For the price - can't complain.
Some thing wrong in the switch. won't always come on when switch is flipped up. Won't always go off when the switch is flipped down. Will be returning to store next week for a refund.
