I just use it only one time. And it is the first time I cut hair myself. Now my hair looks not very good, but also not bad. I like search in walmart first when I need something. Good price, Quality can be accepted, easy to return. I love Walmart. For this self hair-cutting kit, I hope to have more larger combs.
It is very easy for me to cut my own hair because the head swivels into either of 4 locking positions. I've had other cutters but were difficult to use on myself. Glad I followed up and read about this Wahl cutter.
If you want to maintain a very short hair this would be the best option.If you have this you can have a nice cut close to your skin very frequently with out paying $15 to the cutting saloon.
Cutting your own hair with the Wahl Self Cut Clipper is easy. The clipper can be used cordless and it has a rotating clipper head which makes it ideal for self haircutting. However, I believe self haircutting is limited to short haircuts. If I want a longer style, I'll go to my barber. On another note, the product is fragile, therefore it will probably break if you drop it. That said, Wahl does have a warranty/guarantee. WalMart sells it at a great price and the clippers will pay for themselves after a couple self haircuts. Overall, I recommend the Wahl Self Cut Clipper.
I cut my hair twice with the Self-Cut, and found that it did not take a lot of hair off each time. So I returned it and got the Chrome Pro. Using the Chrome Pro, I could hear/feel right away that it is much more powerful than the Self-Cut. Very satisfied with the Chrome Pro. The only advantage to the Self-Cut is the handle, since it can move. But you will get used to the stationary Chrome Pro handle very easily. For a faster and better haircut, the Self-Cut is not the answer compared to other Wahl haircut kits.
I really really wanted this prducts and since I have never had any problems with any of my walmart purchases, I ordered it. I was totally disappointed when the darn thing didn't work at all. It would not take a charge or even work with the adapter. I did return it to my closest walmart. I was very very disappointed in this product!
Great in concept but poor in execution. This would be ideal for a person to use to cut if only it would cut. The handle design makes it easier to hold and manage on your own but the power and design on this clipper is terrible when compared to the other models. I oiled it, realigned and tighten the screws but it would barely cut. I then tried with the Color Pro and the difference was night and day. Don't know if it was this particular clipper but I'm pretty sure it isn't.
Smaller than it looks. Too weak. Doesn't work corded unless fully charged. Battery drained after four minutes. When partially drained got stuck in hair and would not work when head was rotated perpendicular to handle. Wahl Tech Support recommended Pro line Animal Care products since I said I need something small enough to reach the back of my own head, but need same power as their regular consumer clippers (Peanut only has 1/2 inch, so that will not work for my needs either).
Charged my unit per instructions, woodknot hold a charge longer than 2-3 minutes....my hair is short and this just didnt cut it....will be exchanging today....gonna try a CONAIR next...review to follow
I bought this product... TWO TIMES...first time it arrived and did not work... OK, maybe a bad one, it happens... second time... it arrived... THE NEW ONE DIDNT WORK.... dont waste your time. Looks good, if it had only worked..
