Great microscope for beginners.
Our 11 year old son loves this!
It's a super cute kit, it comes with slides prepared on plastic what I think is a big plus because my daughter will be using it to play around. I was planning to get a big scope, saw this one and got for the try just to see how it looked like. It is great for kids to see the overall structures of plants, you can get close enough to teach about cell wall. I will buy some insect slides and see how it look under there.... Even my trachea slides if you know the structure you can identify it!. I believe is a great first scope for little ones to start to get interested in science. Now I got a big scope, we can study together... It come two days faster than it estimated, who doesn't love that?! It is totally worth the money...
I choice this thinking the price would make a difference in the quality, however it was not. Because I got my girls one this summer for half the price, and the quality is the same! disappointing.
could use to have an actual dropper, not a plastic rod that's labeled as a dropper
this microscope is a good beginner gift for a child who is interested in science or microboloigy. it has some issues like the light source is very poor but if u buy a mini light source that will solve the problem wtih that. The other problem is all the slides that come with the microscope all look the same. i guess u really have to a keene eye to see the difference. but its always fun to make your own slides. hey its a beginner toy and its at a good price.
I'm returning this microscope. The light that is supposed to turn on and illuminate the slide turns on when it is pointed away from the slide and off when pointed to the slide. It was also missing the extra light bulb that should have been in the box. It's my second attempt to get a microscope for my grandson. It's the second time I've gotten a defective product. Two different brands, two different vendors.
