It is different from what I was use to when using my laptop but I love it. It has Microsoft Office on it and that doesn't come on other tablets. I can do pivot tables in excel. Plus you have the other features. Once you get use to it you will love it. Only complaint would be I would like to have Windows Media Player on it. Hopefully they will come out with an app for it. It is like a cross between a laptop and cell phone.
Purchased for my 11yr old and she likes it very much. The product arrived quickly and safely. I appreciate the Microsoft office products pre-installed on the tablet. It is light weight and the screen is bright. I plan to buy her the keypad so she can use it for school. It's a good product.
I was searching for an easy to use tablet that could do more than just download books or do a few emails...it was nice to find a tablet available that was a true computer just smaller...it is an excellent product, easy to learn and use. I've recommended to a few of my friends already.
The Surface is good as a mini laptop. The unique features of Windows 8 tiles and desktop makes the Surface a winning combination of a tablet. The full 2.0 USB is good for hard drives when you want to listen to music and watching movies. The micro sd component is good for extra memory added to the 32 GB of the Surface. The battery lasts for hours. It comes with Microsoft Office 2013 already. For those that love Windows products and don't care too much about apps and want a great tablet, the Surface RT is for you.
I did a lot of shopping around for a tablet, I found that the Microsoft Surface met all my needs in a tablet and a laptop. Lite weight but still large enough to see the screen. Front and rear camera are nice. not crazy about windows 8 but easy to get used to. I would recommend getting larger GB I would recommend this tablet to everyone and do love the USB port I can use my mouse
I very much liked the feel and appearance of this tablet. I returned it, however, because it would not support Google Earth and the Student and Home Office RT that it came with (good) did not include macros (bad). I recommend this tablet if these features are not important to you.
I bought this for business and it is living up to its expectations. It is very fast and once in a while it freezes where you have to power it down and restart again but this is not often enough to become a hindrance. You can create anything in here that you could create in your computer. It comes loaded with Office. I had a Samsung briefly however, when I heard of the windows tablet I switched over. My business has been using windows for years and Android and Mac cannot due what windows can. I just purchased the keyboard attachment which should turn this into a laptop as well. For the price of this tablet you cannot go wrong, enjoy!!!
I've always used either Desk top or Lap top computers so I'm loving this light weight touch screen. My only issue is with the minimal instruction book provided. Perhaps all the instructions I need for use are in this booklet but the print is so extremely small that I cannot read it. I will take that issue up with Microsoft I believe the product is good and that once I learn to navigate properly I will not want to go back to my other computers.
This is more of a glorified Smart Phone than a useful tablet. Several of the sites I visit are not available to me, that is the Windows 8, which I really don't like . Facebook is almost impossible. The battery drains very quickly and the charger is not easy to attach. I do like the size and the fact that I have Excel and Word. I had not ordered a keyboard at first and that is a huge mistake. I have one now and that helps.
This tablet works fine the apps are great its easy to use videos play well. The main problem is that you have to purchase the pro in order to use chrome or Firefox. You can't download oovoo it doesn't support much unless its internet explore (which no one likes). Internet explorer actually froze twice with in the first week, forcing me to shut my tablet down. It feels like we are being forced to get the pro to do what we like. At least in the iPad they support everything regardless on which in you buy even if they are a bit more expensive. I am a pc fan and you have a great product here I know you guys there in Microsoft can do better to make your customers feel noticed.
