Louder and less efficient than I expected for the price. I had a Holmes brand HEPA filter with ionizer that was a bit loud, but it worked well for 7 years, even with smokers in the house. But this one is louder and seems much less efficient in every way. I got suckered in by the great sale price compared to the supposed regular price.
