The air purifier makes a crackling and popping noise, I followed technical supports instructions, but the problem still remains. After a long discussion with a Hunter technical support person, it was revealed that this product is coming off the production line flawed. As a result, Hunter has discontinued making the product and has put the product on clearance (you can buy one for $50.00 directly from Hunter on their website). The product has an production flaw that causes it to make popping and crackling sounds, look at reviews from other web sites and you will see the same information.
