I've had this about a month. Works well for kids and pets.
We bought this a month ago and love it. The size was perfect for the area we needed to keep our puppy out of meaning our living room that has white carpet. Well made and very strong. Nice color. If we needed another we would have bought two. Price also good.
These are so much easier than your typical sliding gate. Doesn't fit all size of stairways, although, we were able to use the 2 to make it work for top and bottom of the stairs by combining parts of one with another. Very happy with our purchase.
I use this to keep my dogs safe from running out the front door. We can move it from area to area as needed and it is easy to reassemble.
I bought 2 gates to contain my husky in my family room. She cannot jump these and is easy to open and close even for my 6 year old. I like that it has the option to use without installing hardware and can be used with pressure mounts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product arrived well packed and in perfect conduction. I love how it comes with extensions in multiple sizes so that it can fit multiple areas, as well as the fact that it already includes the hardware for both tension and a more permanent mount. My previous gates we had to purchase the extensions separately which can end up costing a lot of money especially if you end up needing it in a different area. The gate is a sleek design and doesn't look like an eyesore in my home like many other gates do. It feels like a very sturdy gate, my one year old started tugging on it right after installation and it didn't budge, I do feel like the locking mechanisms are easy enough for adults to figure out but challenging enough to keep the little ones in. I love the fact that the gate can stay in the open position when it's not needed, this is definitely better than having to always prop something to keep the gate open. Cons: When it is installed directly in a door jam it makes it difficult to turn a door knob, you need to put it at a slight angle just to be able to close the door all the way, I'm thinking the height has a lot to do with this. In the area I was installing I was able to simply install using the walls instead. This model the gate only opens one way, I have another brand very similar and you are able to open it both ways, which is nice because you have more choices on how to install it then. I feel this is a convenient feature that I do miss in this gate. So far I feel that it is slightly loud when opening and closing but I suppose it's similar to the amount of noise my other gates make. Overall I would definitely recommend this gate to a friend, it is sturdy, looks great and is holding up well against my 1 and 3 year olds.
Be advised this company has been sold to Kids2. Customer service terrible. No longer allow orders for replacement mounting kits. Totally unsympathetic. Used to be a great company.
I bought this gate a month ago, and I still don't have one that is up and working in my home. It was first sent to me with no hardware. Customer Service is not open on the weekends, so I couldn't even immediately notify someone of my issue. I had to wait over a week to receive the hardware. Then, when I went to install the game, the door was broken. I have requested a new gate, which hasn't arrived yet. Very frustrating experience, I won't shop with this company again
We received gate with a busted box, parts already put together, screws in a torn Ziploc sandwich bag, warning sticker worn off, and gate scratched everywhere. It looks like someone used it for a year, kept the box in the garage and returned it.
We received emails stating the product was delivered in our mail box over a week ago. Clearly a baby gate isn't going in our mailbox. I've called to report but have not heard back. At this point I have no review of the product itself, but the service has not provided any resolution.
