hey this grill is pretty good. great for burgers. and it beats cooking indoors in 80-90 degree weather. and if you cant get to the store often for gas or charcoal its a great substitute..
I like it very much. It solved alot of problems for me. I cannot lift the heavy tanks to be refilled and if I have to rely on somebody to do it for me, I would never cook outside. It is great and just big enough for 2 people. I just wish it was easier to clean, although it did clean up pretty good for me.
I used to have an electric grill from Walmart that has a grill rack similar to a regular bbq grill. It had an element under it similar to the elements on an electric stove. It was so awesome and strong - it worked great - even on meat! My other one got so old that I had to buy a new one. Come to find out, they stopped making the one that I had, and I ended up buying this one. Oh my gosh- what a huge difference - this one's grill is way too covered up - kind of like a griddle instead of a grill rack. And the heating element keeps regulating itself, so it gets really hot then cold, then hot then cold. It drove me crazy. I gave it to a friend of mine. I want the old one back!
This is the worst "grill" I have ever seen. The heating element heats up for two minutes, then stays off for ten. This cycle repeats itself for the next four hours until your pork chop is done. There is no grease tray and it will drain grease all over whatever it sits on. Go for something a little more high end.
My Experience with Uniflame products is vert Poor. I purchased a Gas gril about two years ago and in 1-1/2 years the burners rusted out as well as the heat sheild. This electric grill came with the legs broken. I will never buy a Uniflame product again
Horrible grill - The old design was fanatasit. The new grill cover just about covers most of the element and makes the grill USELESS! Big waste of money and can't believe a company would put out product like this...Terrible!!!
I bought this grill for a weekend bbq. I had expected it to work better than it did. I got it home and folowed the instructions as written ( which by the way were very bad!) went to use the next day and it was horrible. I only cooked hot dogs and hamburgers. This grill takes forever to cook, not only that but the heat is uneven . it is all in the center and does not keep the heat it took over 45 min to cook hamburgers on the highest settin. This is a poor quality grill do not waste your time or money with this. by the gas grill for $25
For $20 I thought it'd be a good deal. Wrong!! The thermostat didn't work well and by the time the burgers were finally done they were way to dry. Clean up is a pain also. The ease of removing the griddle is offset by the difficulty in cleaning the liner below. The griddle itself has way to many little grooves that are difficult to clean. It's going back to the store tomorrow!
Walmart used to carry a similar grill. It had regular grill rack and worked like a charm. This thing doesn't even cook hotdogs. BIG waste of money. Garbage!!!
Doesn't really get hot enough for a steak to grill well. No vent holes in top, so more of a steaming of the meat rather than browning. Need lid closed to get enough heat to cook meat. After cooking two steaks, took them inside and put in a skillet to sear the outside and enhance the flavor. Get a propane or a charcoal grill for some real heat and performance. A zero for me.
