Duck Reflective Insulation Kit

Love this stuff for sunny windows

In the summer the sun blasts through the windows on one side of my home, cooking us all. I use this stuff the same way you use those reflective shades for your car windshield. I hang it up during the part of the day when it's real sunny and it reflects the light and head back out. I have previously tried aluminum foil and mylar sheets for this purpose and neither was nearly as good. They were much harder to work with and kept tearing. Also they didn't reflect as well. This stuff is flexible and durable and it's super easy to cut and work with. I really love it. Some times this kind of product gets more credit than it deserves for general insulation (e.g., around a hot water heater I suspect fiberglass works better) but when you are trying to hide from the burning sun, this is perfect.
