I bought this bike 3 weeks ago and have used it everyday since. I have lost weight and toned up. The 4 programs that are in the bike are perfect. They really help with the day to day use, you don't get bored because you just pick a diffrent program everyday. Love this bike it is so quiet!! Great value. Alot of bike for a little money!!
for 90 $(shoot, even for more than that!), this is an awesome deal, especially for someone who just wants a simple item to meet your goals. Has 5 levels of resistance( plus 4 different exercises, such as mountain slope, etc.), that are obvious, and has a constant screen showing your progress, such as calories burned, fat cals burned, time, miles & speed.. and it alternates every 15 seconds or so, so it keeps you not having to keep hitting buttons. Putting together took me about half an hour, and was simple.. and it barely takes up any room. Has an adjustable seat which is great since I'm 5'2, and my husband is 6 foot. Had to put a small towel on bike for when I ride over half an hour, since you can get a bit sore, but thats really no hassel at all. Also just to give you a heads up.. since I was so excited to put my bike together and use it right away.. I didnt know it took 4 D batteries, so you might want to buy these ahead of time..so you can get on it right away. Anyway.. very good deal, you'll love it!
I wanted a cheap bike because I wasn't sure if I would really use it. I got it 1 week ago (it shipped site-to-store fast) and I have rode it for at least an hour a day since I got it. I have 2 toddlers so its tough to work out because they climb all over me, but this keeps me off the ground and keeps them off me. Its very quite. It was so easy to put together. I did it myself in less than an hour. My only complaint is the seat is uncomfortable. My butt was so sore after the first day, but it wasn't sore enough to keep me off of it. I put a pillow under me and it works great. Now after using it a week I seem to be getting use to the seat and it doesn't really hurt anymore. I would buy this again in a heartbeat! I have become addicted!
I suffered an acl knee injury, the Doctor told me to get a stationary bike and ride 20 minutes a day. This bike is perfect, it stays in front of my TV in my bedroom and doesn't take up much room. It is light weight and very quiet. My daughter put it together for me. She had it put together in an hour. I would recommend this for knee strengthening. I have been using it for 2 weeks and I am impressed with the results. I am not trying to lose weight, so I'm not keeping track of any weight loss. I do feel stronger. My metabolism is boosted. So overall, the price, the size, and it has 4 different settings that range from 20 minutes up to 35 minutes, is what I know so far. It also has resistance from 1 to 10. I love this bike for many different reasons. It is a great gift for anyone. Only 1 complaint, the seat is uncomfortable, so if you purchase this, also purchase a pillow to go over the seat for cushion. That will fix it, and as long as it is comfortable the longer you will ride.
I went to four stores until I found one that had it in stock-it was well-worth the extra searching! My favorite feature is that it is totally quiet. If you hear any noise at all, make sure to really tighten the seat adjustment and this should correct it. My husband put it together in about a half hour. You will need 4 D-size batteries for the display/resistance changer, so make sure to have them on hand. (I'm hoping the batteries will last a long time). Three in my family use this daily and we all love it. Excellent quality and value-thanks Walmart! Oh-one more thing: On the display board there is a little clear plastic sticker that say you will need to purchase batteries. Be really careful when you loosen it to peel it away. There's a thing plastic cover on the display board that will nick off a little if you don't.
This bike is soo quiet compared to others I have used. If you are under 5' though I wouldn't recommend it. I am 4'10" & I have to literally move my body back & forth in order to reach the petals to the bottom. It's like a 8 year old riding an adult's bike. I will be taking it back. But otherwise it's a really nice bike at a great price.
i ordered this bike a few weeks ago. it came almost a week ahead of schedule. the first thing i loved! it was super simple to put together & i did it by myself. i didn't time it, but it wasn't more than an hour i know. i absolutely love this bike & have talked about it so much (i think i'm addicted, lol) a friend & a coworker are both ordering it! * it is super quiet! i ride it while watching tv or making phone calls. no one even knows i'm riding when i call. * the seat is extra wide & cushy, but firm. i remembered riding my mom's old bike, & was dead set against getting one when my doc first mentioned it. my tukus does get sore some, but not too bad & you do get used to it. * it doesn't take up much space. i live in a 1br basement apt & it fits right in one corner of my living room. * it doesn't have arms, so i use hand weights while i'm on it instead. i think this is a better exercise anway. * the one reason i almost didn't give it 5 stars (but it's too great for just 4 stars & i couldn't do 4 1/2), is that you can't program in your weight so the calorie burn isn't accurate. i think those are the highlights. i've gone from working out a couple of times a week at the gym, to working out every day at home. i've lost weight & i'm building muscle:~) when you get this bike i highly recommend getting the 4 D batteries & some light handweights if you don't have some already. & don't forget to stretch before hand! oh, & i have low pile carpet in my living room & haven't had any problems without a mat under it.
I bought this for my wife because of its small footprint and few exposed moving parts, and it is perfect for that. It is light enough to be moved easily but stable enough the kids can't pull it over on them. I have 5 kid's age 1-5 and none of them have found a way to hurt themselves with it or while mom is using it. What was surprising is that the bike, having the features I mention, could still be used by me with a height of 6'7”. The battery powered magnetic resistance does not provide much of a challenge, but it is still a good workout. The seat that comes with the bike is not good. I would have given this a 5 star rating if the seat was easily replaced with a standard bicycle seat. I am now looking for some type of adapter so I can replace the seat. I would recommend this bike to anyone with small children or space constraints. The price is good but be prepared to spend $25-$30 to replace the seat.
Easy to put assemble, light weight, sturdy, quiet and really nice functions for a great price. I'm looking forward to lots of miles on this bike. The only downside is the seat. It's a little small for my comfort, but still "do-able".
This bike is great except for one very huge problem, as noted in other reviews: The seat is a nightmare! I bought seat covers in gel and memory foam. I tried adding extra cushions, but to no avail. It is singularly the most painful thing on the planet. You can't replace it like a normal bike seat. Whether it's the framing or angle, I don't know. Finally gave up and exchanged it for a recumbent with a flat seat.
