I wanted a small, basic recumbent bike. This model is perfect for me. Only one possible downside - the seat does not adjust leg space without removing it. Since I am the only one in the family using it, this is not a problem. It is a very sturdy piece of exercise equipment for the price! We ordered online and picked up in the store the same day. Very convenient system.
purchased 7/2/12 - my husband assembled and i was on it riding by 9. I had total knee replacement surgery on 5/30 and i needed an exercise bike. Reading the reviews i was a little concerned- i am only 5'2 and have very short legs. This bike is awesome- the most comfortable bike i have ever rode. This morning i rode it for 20 minutes and really i did not want to stop. I did use a pillow on the back of the seat as someone else stated- that was because i was leaning back and the book said you should sit up straight. With the pillow this makes it easy to do. This is the best $137 spent. Anyone having a total knee replacement surgery i recommend this bike.
Easy assembly with all tools you need included. It took me about 90 minutes to get it running. I am 5'11" 190lbs 50 years old. I am in good shape (able to run 6 miles in about an hour) and this is helping keep me that way.
I just started using this exercise bike a few weeks ago, but I've found it to be very sturdy and my starting weight is 250 which is supposed to be the top weight. My wife and I both use it. At first it felt like the length setting was too short, but we got used to it being set where it was when we put it together. There are three notches left to extend it for longer legs. The seat and back support are very comfortable. We have found a significant difference in the resistance settings, but we are in our upper 50s/lower 60s in age. I'm sure those younger and fitter might find the resistance to be less strenuous. I put it together in about a hour and 45 minutes with minimal help from my wife. The price was what we wanted to pay and the store pickup was pretty easy. As you can see from the picture, it doesn't take up much space.
This is a great product I usually don't do reviews but walmart kept sending me emails to review my purchase so I said what the heck I might as well inform ppl on how good the bike is. the weslo bike has 10 resistance levels 1-10 I like to do level 4 I do 30 minutes on the bike a day and I burn 8 ounces each time that I do, that is close to burning a pound in a 30 minute workout. the bike doesn't squeak and it is sturdy enough to ride on, the reason why I gave this bike a 4 and not a 5 is for 2 reasons the first reason is because it was a hassel putting the sit on you would think that by spending around $140 u would get an adjustable seat but that is not the case good thing I am the only one who uses the bike or I would be in trouble and the second reason is because when I bought the bike they gave me a console that didn't work it turned on but it wouldn't calculate the calories or time spent on the bike but I called weslo company and they sent me out a new one but other than that this bike deserved to have a 5 star rating, I love the resistance level doing level 10 is not easy at all especially if you are trying to do it for awhile but level 4 is just perfect I can do it without feeling tired.
I've only been using this bike for about 2 weeks but I like it. The display is not very good, so if you want nice display options, this bike is not for you. My very handy husband put it together and had no complaints. This bike is very quiet. I've had no problem watching t.v. while riding it or disturbing anyone.
It is a good stationary bike; the one drawback is that you must bolt the seat into position and you can not adjust it without unbolting it and bolting it back in a new position. It would be a good idea to make the seat adjustable...of course, I understand that would probably add to the cost of producing the bike which would make the bike more expensive.
I was unhappy the seat adjustment requires tools and 5-10 minutes to adjust. My spouse is much shorter than me so for us she has to really stretch to reach peddles.
AWFUL. The resistance broke after 3 days so I returned it. I've learned my lesson and went to Academy to get better quality equipment. Not to mention my box didn't come with instructions so I had to jump through hoops to find the manual online.
Bought the product but never worked as expected. Made some weird noise from day one and seemed like it's going to break soon. Called the number provided with manual but got the message that we are closed for one reason or another whenever I called. Poor customer service and got frustrated so ended up returning back to the store.
