The Timbre Wolf is Akai' premiere analog 4-voice polyphonic synthesizer with the option of being configured in multiple different modes. You can choose to use the Timbre Wolf as four individual monophonic synthesizers, a 4-voice unison monophonic synthesizer, or as a 4-voice polyphonic synthesizer. Even more, the Timbre Wolf gives users the ability to independently customize the sound of each voice as you play allowing for exceptionally creative performances and a wide range of sound design possibilities. The Timbre Wolf features a 32-step sequencer that can be programmed individually per voice, allowing each of the four voices to have its own stepped sequence that can be played simultaneously. Each voice also has its own independent filter settings and tuning that can be adjusted individually, and each voice can also transmit its own MIDI messages for a wide range of routing possibilities. Designed primarily as a bass synthesizer, similar to a classic 303, the Timbre Wolf doesn?t have a mod wheel, but does include a pitch bed knob. There are also four individual outputs per voice so you can route out individual sequences, or use a sum of all four voices from the master output. There' a gate trigger In/Out that will allow you to trigger sequences via modular synths, vintage sequencers, or external sound sources. All of this packaged in a rugged design with wood side trim, lined with Akai' professional-quality 25-key custom keybed.
