A world-class controller and performance sequencer come together in the Arturia Beatstep. The USB class compliant driverless controller lets you control DAWs, loop triggering software, drum software, VST instruments, VST effects, DJ applications, MIDI instruments, and analog equipment with a CV/GATE input. Featuring 16 pressure and velocity sensitive pads, 16 rotary encoders, transport and preset controls with sixteen presets, and a jogwheel for transpose, rate, and level, the Beatstep is equipped to give you the control you need in every situation. You can send MIDI note on/off messages, MMC commands, Program and Bank changes, or serve as MIDI CC buttons by configuring the BeatStep pads, and you can trigger clips in Ableton Live or use the encoders to adjust the effects in your favorite DJ app. In MIDI controller mode, the BeatStep pads illuminate red while in Step Sequencer mode you get blue LED illumination. Additionally, the advanced interface connects with a computer or iPad via USB and offers internal and external clocking.
