This is the second unit like this I have had. The first one I had for about 15 years before the weather finally wore it out. I love it! It does everything I need it to. I especially like the detailed rain amounts down to the past hour. It tells me temp both in and out. I just set it up and put it out in the rain and it immediately worked.

This is the 3rd one I have bought. They last about 5 years due to a place where I have it located. There is a lot of trees in our yard and junk falls into the gauge unit and plugs it up. Otherwise, I love the tracking graph for rain and the inside/outside temp reading.
If you place the instrument out in the open to catch the rain it will act like an oven when the sun is out, therefore the temperature is not accurate. If you leave the instrument out in the cold it will freeze and destroy the rain gauge part. It is a no win as built.
The wireless rain gauge only worked for a few days. I reset the unit and it worked only for a few days again. This repeats. The temperature always works except when the sun is out it reads much too high. Bought it as a Christmas gift and couldn't try it until spring. By then the return period was past. Can't find any link to the manufacturer to complain. Total waste of money.
Product did not meet my expectations at all. Very difficult to understand and hard to see due to small size of figures on face of product. Have not been able to get an outside temperature reading. Bought one for myself and one for a gift. Returned the gift item due to above reasons.
Outdoor unit does not maintain synch with indoor unit for more than one to two days. Poor temperature calibration: with indoor and outdoor units next to each other, reported temperature difference is 3.5 degrees.
