The spicy pico is fantastic. I get it every time it's available...the problem is that the store does not keep it in stock as often as I'd like
love this !! perfect to use in guacamole
Love this stuff. Could be hotter though. The major problem is my local store just stopped stocking it. The price label is gone from the shelf. Luckily another Walmart had it. I've tried making it on my own with the same ingredients (minus salt) and it just doesn't taste as good. It's a little pricier than mixing up my own but way easier. I like to make a sort of taco. Get some pre-cooked chicken slices, toss them on a flour tortilla and heat them in the microwave, then add some of this. Makes for a fairly healthy dinner.
Whenever this product is available, we buy this. It is tasty, spice hot and full of freshness. We serve over chicken and sometimes add to pasta dishes. Yum, a bite of late summer sunshine.
I love getting the hot pico de gallo for tacos and fajitas. It has a great flavor with some heat, but not overly hot.
WE LIKE TO MIX IT IN OUR GLACAMOLE WHEN WE MAKE IT. IT IS GREAT!
When something says it's hot then I assume it has a kick to it. This pico was not spicy, but it was fine for what I needed it for.
We opened the pics and had with dinner. Put lid back on and put in refrigerator. Next day, it was moldy looking. Does not last long after opening. Will make my own next time.
There was nothing wrong with the previous packaging, and I am really displeased with the new packaging. Previously the product was actually sealed from air exposure, and now it is not sealed and the lid is lazily shrink-wrapped on. Not only does this encourage the product to mold before it's even opened, it leaks everywhere on the ride home! It also appears that it is more tomato now than anything else, and it used to be a decent balance of tomato, onions, and jalepeno. Onions are now scarce and jalepeno is next to nonexistent. The only thing "hot" about this product is the mess they've made of it.
I thougt it would be good, fresh, and spicy but it wasnt any of those. Not spicy at all... there were about 2 pieces of copped jalapeño and even those wernt hot at all. After ive accepted the fact that it was not in the least bit hot i thought at least it will taste good... not that either. It was flavorless and gross and it was trashed fast.
