I purchased this screen based on the review of being able to use this with an out swing door. This is a screen for a patio door. Make sure you read the information from ODL before you order to ensure that you are ordering the correct screen. This screen works for an outswing door but it wasn't made for it. I would have exchanged the door but I couldn't be bothered after putting it together. The only reason why I found out it was the wrong door was the flange on the side was warped and I asked ODL customer service about it and they told me that I had ordered the wrong door. The flange is not on the screens for the swing door. Other than that it is a great screen door and very easy to install.

Terrific product! Wish I had known about it a year ago when I bought a flimsy sliding replacement screen that broke within a week. Assembly was fairly straightforward - hardest part was connecting the cross pieces. Had to reverse the instructions since our door slides open the other way.
I've been meaning to get a screen for my front door for awhile. I finally went online and found this one. It's more difficult to find one for an out swinging door. It was higher quality than others for a more reasonable price. The frame the screen was attached to was solid all the way up and down . The handle can be switched to pull from either side. Assembly was easy but took a little longer than 1/2 hr. The only issue was that there's a small gap on the top that I used a piece of trim to fill in. This was mainly because of the out swing. I was afraid it would look bad against our decorative door since it has to be mounted inside but it really doesn't look that out of place.
Fairly straight forward to install. Directions could be a bit more detailed, but only took about an hour to install. Works great! Good quality.
Generally a good quality item. Appears that it was engineered to fit this smaller patio style door as an afterthought. The rubber flap on one side is weak in design and the threshold is different than the 80 inch door and sticks up and is a trip hazard. I had a piece of 1/8 inch aluminum sheet metal cut and bent 90 degrees to form a lip and inserted it in the gap which leveled the threshold out.
