I bought this bike for my wife. The color is not the color as shown but fuchia or a cross between purple and pink, a nice ladies color, but a little bit of a shock when my wife saw it since she was expecting red. Very nice quality for the price. You might want to read what they said about the Mens Avenue model.
A beautiful bike. It didn't come assembled (and this wasn't indicated in the website). But my local Walmart did assemble it, free of charge, and after having to wait three more days I was able to pick it up today. Going riding later today!
I bought this bike after doing much research on what kind of bike would suit me. I walked to Wal-Mart and road this bike home. I was very impressed with the smooth ride and easily shifting gears. After getting home, I did more research on exactly where my seat and handlebars should be set and now I ride with my elementary aged kids to school and meet them after school. Love It.
I really enjoy my new bike. This product is very well made. I was a little worried when I ordered this bike. I was also looking at a speciality shop but I am very happy with my decision and I saved about $100.00. This bike could be compared to the Schwinn bikes at the speciality shops.
Received this bike from my children for Mother's Day and my 40th Birthday was also the same week and I had made a vowel to start working out and get back in shape. So far this bike has been great very lightweight and comfortable to ride. I have rode it leisurely every day for a week and no issues so far. My son and husband like it so well they both are considering the 700c mens version of the same bike.
I actually bought this bike after I ended up returning the other bike I bought (the Next 26" Plush mountain bike....which was AWFUL). After riding the Plush this Schwinn is like driving a Mercedes after driving a Yugo. The seat is incredibly comfortable. The gears shift like a dream. Its very much worth the money.
I bought myself a bike after reading some reviews, and it is awesome! It was $209 in store, fully assembled. It rides like a dream, is comfortable and is actually a nice looking bike. I'm 5'6 and the fit is perfect. The bike allows me to sit up and the shifting mechanism is very simple to use. This bike is well worth the money. Several of my friends have purchased bikes at a bike store and spent at least double what I did. They were all impressed with my bike and surprised I bought it at Walmart. Can't go wrong with this purchase!
This bike is fun to ride, comfortable and operates smoothly. However, I recently got a flat tire and was disappointed that Walmart sells this bike but does not carry intertubes in its size. I went to a specialty shop who carried the right size, but the valve stem was too short. Not only that, but they didn't even carry an intertube with the valve stem length that I needed. They recommended that I purchase a valve extender, which costs more than the tube itself. Point is, the bike is great, but fixing a flat will be a pain.
I Like the bike. The only thing, is that it said shocks on the seat, which it has, but they hardly even move. Also it was kind of a hassel to put together. For the price though and the look, I think it is a great bike and it rides great! I would recommend it especially for beginners.
I bought this bike after a lot of research that toke almost a month. I didn't want to pay more that $200, finally I found this bike at walmart. It's very light weight, looks great, and I love the easy fire shifter. The pedals are little annoying with regular sneakers, but not a big deal. The only problem I have with this bike is when I shift between the 1st and the 2ng gear, the crank always slips, and I have to stop and adjust it. It did this starting from the second time I ride it. One of the reviews on Avenue men's bike suggested that the bike needs to be tones once you purchase it. I am exchanging this one with another schwinn avenue, and the first thing I will do is to take it to a bike shop and get it toned up. Overall its a great value for the price, just make sure sure to take it to a bike shop to adjust it.
