I bought this to paint pvc pipe black for cable conduit. The color is a great flat black with little reflections. The paint does not run and the spray is very focused out to about 28 inches.
I have used this Paint for Years, on any & every spray painting application I have: Guns, Boats, Helmets, Bicycles, and even my Truck Body and Carr Hoop steps; and this is by FAR the absolute best on the Market! If there was any One thing that I wish the Manufacturers would do, is make the Nozzle so that it could would Turn so that it could spray horizontally and parallel. If you want to make something 'Disappear' right in plain sight, try the Dark Brown! Every thing that I paint, using the Krylon camo brn seems to absorb the surroundings in the slightest of shadows. Simply amazing! After a Week, it looks as though it is Black; but you know that it isn't because it just doesn't quite look that 'Dark'. All I can say is TRY IT!
I wrote a Review (Below/Steven C) and wanted to Follow up with a Photo that I think/Hope would put things into a Clear Perspective of just how decent this Paint lays.
Wanted to match the hand stop on my AR45 to the Dirty Olive VZ grip. Hit it with non chlorine brake cleaner to degrease then rinsed in water. I heather the part up with a heat gun then sprayed several light coats. The paint dried as soon as it hit the hot part. I didn't realize this paint would have a texture when I bought it so that's an added plus.
I painted a Xterra with it and it turned out great. I prepped by wet sanding with 400 grit paper. I had some minor dings I filled with glazing putty. I used several coats which allowed me to wet sand with 600 grit to produce an even appearance. The paint is pretty durable if applied correctly and with enough coats.
I have painted a Jeep, and several firearms with this paint. The Jeep was not pampered it was abused as often as possible and the paint held up. I did 2 tone in tan and OD green. The firearms were done in OD green years ago and the finish has held up strong with no issues. I will be soon painting another Jeep with this all in OD Green and know it will hold up for years like the last one.
I painted a Silverado with the OD green. It covered good, is very chip resistant. Easy to touch up is scratched with no blending required and best of all no more rain spots.
excellent adherence and durability on plastic stocks and a Kayak. All hunters should keep this handy.
Works well as a primer or a finished color for a camouflage scheme.I use it for a primer coat on plastic models. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Was great…until I got half way through my Jeep project and the olive color and finish changed slightly. Just enough to notice it. Now I have a dozen unusable cans of paint and had to switch to the Rustoleum camouflage paint. Boo Krylon!
