This is a great product. My daughter already likes it at 5 months old, and I'm sure we will get much more use out of it. For now it keeps her attention with the music and changing colors, and in the future it will help her learn her colors; in English, Spanish and French as well as what primary colors mix to make secondary colors. Solidly built.
I searched high and low for the Baby Einstein Kaleidoscope after my girlfriend brought it to a play date. She said she got it at Target, but I could not find it anywhere. I was delighted to find it on Walmart.com, and could not be happier with the toy for my 11 month old. It's made well like all Baby Einstein products, and I love the English/Spanish options. Even my oldest child who is 5.5 years old loves to play with it! When you grab two colors at once, it tells you what color the two colors make. I highly recommend! And you can't beat the .97 cents shipping (since it's not available in the stores)!!!
My child loves this product. He's only 6 monthes but he enjoys the music and all of the flashing colors. I would recommend this product to parents. Its fun, bright, and helps teach color using primary colors. When you press the blue and yellow together it makes green. I think that it is really cool. I hope that other parents like this product as much as I do.
I never intended to purchase the toy. I picked it up just to look at it and the music went off. But after seeing my daughter get so excited when the music played I had to. She was only about 4 and a half months! She is 9 and a half months now and plays with it daily. The music is lively and can help stop a fit! It is a great distraction. The flashing lights amazed her at night! We often dim the lights and watch the light show. The best part is not only the three primary colors that flash when pushed but when two colors are pushed at the same time it reveals the new mixed color...red+yellow=orange, red+blue=purple, blue+yellow=green! It was a big milestone when she discovered that! It was well worth every penny.
This is a great toy. I couldn't stop playing with it. I bought it for my 7 month old granddaughter for Christmas. She played with it for a long time. Great toy! Very impressed with baby einstein. I am going to buy another one for my 6 week old grandson for when he gets older. I wanted to buy him one after I received the one for the granddaughter. Could not get him one for Christmas as they were out of stock everywhere I looked online. Buying one once they become restocked.
This product is durable. It has been dropped on the floor many times already. My 8 month old son loves the colors and the lights. I like that you can change the languages easy.
I orignally got this just as a simple side toy for my daughter when she was under 6 months old. I would push the buttons and she would watch the lights and listen to the music. It entertained her very well. She is 10 months old now and can push the buttons herself. I put it on the color mode so that every time she presses it, it says the color again. When you have it on the music mode, it plays the whole song before you can press it to play again. This is really one of her best toys. It has many settings for all ages. It can say the colors in spanish, english, and french. My daughter throws it around and has never broken it. It has scratches on the mirror part because it's only a sticker or something, but the rest of it looks brand new after all of it's use. The songs are classical, so that is teaching her too. Overall, this was a very good purchase and I plan on buying it for friends in the future.
I bought this toy for my sons 1st christmas. He was only about 8 months old. This toy was very easy for him to opperate. the buttons are on the handles so as soon as he picked it up, it would light up. He loved looking at the colors. He is 21 months now and he still likes the toy. I just found out the other day that if you press two buttons at once the mix color would show.
JUST WHAT I EXPECTED...AN INTERESTING TOY WITH NO REMOVEABLE PIECES TO MISPLACE OR LOSE
I recieved the Baby Einstein Color Kaleidoscope toy as a gift during my baby shower. I speak English, Spanish and French and was excited about the toy; however, I tested it today and realized that some of the words in Spanish and French are not pronounced well ... in particular "amarillo." I am very surprised and disappointed. I was under the impression that Baby Eistein was a great company for educational toys but this toy evidently did not go through Quality Assurance for pronounciation. It seems as if the person that recorded the words in Spanish and French does not speak those languages as she has an obvious accent. Further more, it took me several tries to get the toy to say purple or orange. Even if I first press blue (or yellow) and then quickly press red, the toy says and lights up as if I had only pressed red. To get it to register purple or orange I have to press blue (or yellow) and wait a few seconds prior to pressing red. If I wait too long, then the toy registers blue (or yellow). This is very frustrating for me as an adult. As a young child I don't think that I would make the connection that those color combinations equal orange/purple because the color will only be displayed a few of the times I pull those handles simultaneously.
