This saw is even better than I expected after reading lots of great reviews before making my purchase. The casing feels like a thick tough polymer instead of the cheap plastic I've seen on some other electric models, and the whole saw seems to be very sturdy. It's perfectly balanced, has plenty of power, and has the sharpest chain I've ever seen on a chain saw. The chain is thinner than the chains on larger gas-powered units I've used which is nice because it produces much smaller wood chips, and therefore less of a mess in the yard. The automatic chain oiler and the automatic chain tensioner also work great. I can't think of a single thing that would make this a better chainsaw.
Very impressed with it's quality and design. Haven't used it much yet but have a big project for it and hope it keeps up .
Best chainsaw I have ever bought for around house. Unless you are a logger it will do most of your wood cutting. Only draw back you need a good 100ft electric cord.
Believe it or not I bought this chainsaw for the wife. She enjoys working outside and needed something for cutting tree limbs and such. Well she loves the electric chainsaw. All she has to do is plug it in and go to it. ( she is out there almost 2 or 3 times a week cutting something) Of course I have to make sure the blades are sharp and there's oil in it.
Great quality
This is the smallest chainsaw I have ever used so I was very leery. I've only cut down one tree with it so far but it was like a hot knife through butter compared to the one I've been using for the last 10 years. I'm an old woman and have some torn ligaments so it was a little bit heavy for me, but from this one use, I highly recommend it. We also have the worx battery operated leaf blower and have used it for 2 years and are still loving it although it's battery does tend to die before I want to be done.
I recently had a fire at home. It was mostly outside. The 50+ mph winds intensified the fire. I had quite a few trees that were burnt and killed. Insurance would only pay a small amount for what they call ruble removal. I had a professional come in and fell the trees and cut up the really large sections of trunks. The balance, I have been working on with this Worx electric chainsaw. So far, it is doing a remarkable job. I believe that I will have firewood for the fireplace for several years, thanks to the ability of this saw. Time will tell.
After restarting my gas chainsaw about 100 times, I was worn out and very tired. I was withing 100' of my house cutting firewood for the winter. I have finished blocking and limbing a 16" hickory (big name gas chainsaw quit), cut down a 20" dead tree (also blocked), and cut about 2 cords worth of hardwood slabs. Love the saw. BTW, I use a 12-guage extension cord. It has plenty of power and I have experienced no tripped breakers.
I was surprised at the power of this saw as I have always used a gas powered chainsaw in the past. The easy start and convenience of this electric chainsaw has been a wonderful experience. The cord is a bit of a hassle but I knew that and since I am working around my yard it is very workable. Couldn't be happier.
I've only used it once, but was surprised at how well it cut an 8 inch diameter locust tree that had fallen in my yard. I've owned 2 cycle gasoline chain saws for years and stopped using them because of surgery on my shoulder. This electric model cuts comparable to some similar size 2 cycles I've owned. This unit should work great for some of the small jobs I have a round the house from time to time. I offer no review on the durability of this chain saw because I've owned it for a short time.
