My baby hasn't actually arrived yet, but I have a 3 year old and remember how much of a pain it was to get up every couple hours in the night and hoist him out of the bassinet. Even though it was close to the bed, it was higher and had the standard height "walls". This co-sleeper is just the right size, bigger than a bassinet, yet not near as large as putting a pack-n-play next to your bed. The tan gingham print is my favorite, it's so cute. It seems very well made and substantial quality and durability. Highly recommend this great product!
My baby is almost 5 months old and I have been exclusively breastfeeding her since birth. Originally she was sleeping in bed with my husband and I, but as you could imagine, that didn't work for very long. We tried to use a bassinet, but it was so difficult for me to pick her up and put her down without waking her up. We have a 30"high bed, so the bassinet was very low and it was very strenuous for me to pick her up in the middle of the night. The co-sleeper solved all these problems and more! It is so nice for me to just roll over and she's conveniently right there! (We had to order a leg extension kit from the Co-Sleeper website.) It's also given me peace of mind knowing she's so close. I love our mini co-sleeper! It's strong enough to support our baby's weight for a few more months, but small enough that it doesn't take up a bunch of room in our bedroom. It's nice to know that it will have other uses after she's grown out of it, too! I highly recommend this product! I swear by the "co-sleeping" method!
I recieved my mini co-sleeper as a gift. I had never heard of it before, but I was impressed right away. I loved having my son within "arms reach" during the night...I slept so much better than I did when he slept in the bed with us. My favorite feature is the fold down side, it allowed me to keep an eye on him without having to sit up in bed. The mini is the perfect size...my son used this till he was 5 months old, but we probably could have used it longer if we wanted. I cant wait to use this again with my next baby. One other great thing - you can also use this as a changing table! The fold down side makes it easy to get to baby, and there is lots of storage on the sides and underneath to store supplies.
i didn't really expect this to last more than a few months anyways, so if you want something to last longer, buy a bigger sleeper. It's cute tho, and will work nicely for the space that I have.
I bought this last month when my son was 5 months old & I LOVE it. He was sleeping in between my husband & I and I was not sleeping too well because of it. I wish I had this from the time he was born. I bought the mini because we have a small space beside our bed but my son is growing so tall (95th percentile for height) that I have decide to rearrange my whole bedroom just so I can buy the original co-sleeper & continue to sleep with him. I too swear by co-sleeping, my son is a very "high needs" & fussy baby but being close to us in the middle of the night has really helped. I love the mini one so much that I am just going to keep it & use it as a changing table for the living room until the next baby comes along, then I will use the mini first since it is nice & cozy for a baby.
We love this product. It was very easy to assemble and it fits in the space between our bed and wall. An added benefit is the sleeper can be folded up and transported like a lawn chair for long trips in the car or on the plane.
Despite my wishes, my husband initially insisted on a pack-n-play to use as a bassinet. I wanted my daughter close to us during the night but not in our bed which is why I wanted the co-sleeper. The pack-n-play bassinet was awkward; too tall and we had to reach over the side of it just to sooth her back to sleep by placing her pacifier in her mouth or holding her little hand (she went through the night without a bottle at 8 weeks and did not need removed from the bassinet). At 4 1/2 months old we purchased the co-sleeper because the discomfort of reaching over the bassinet numerous times during the night caused neck/backaches;also she would soon exceed the 15 pound weight limit. I could not be more satisfied. It is extremely easy to assemble, space-efficient, durable and perfect for parents who want/need to be close to their baby at night as it becomes an extension of your bed. She's a very light sleeper and will need some time to transition to her crib for bedtime so I'm comforted knowing we have more time (up to 23 pounds) to do this. I only wish I would have purchased this from the very beginning...worth every penny!
The co-sleeper is a must have for mom/dads that want the baby near but not in the bed. I wish I had bought it sooner. My 5 month old sleeps great in it. The storage underneath and pockets on each end are great. The first set up and break down can be a little stiff but becomes easier. The wheels on one end makes moving it around a breeze and they can be switched from one end to the other. I love the fact I don't have to get out of bed to feed him. He even wakes up and just plays while laying in it. I would recommend this product for any mom/dad. The only problem I see is the price is a little high but I can't complain on anything else.
Great product, works well for my baby and me, little expensive
This co-sleeper is a little small, but fits our newborn perfectly for now..unsure how long we will be able to use it. It is wonderful to be able to watch her from our bed w/o having to get up - I can make sure blankets our safe, that she's breathing okay, etc. Just wish it was a maybe a little longer and wider, and that mattress was a little thicker and softer!
