This color pencil like a pencil. Can erase easy
Good range of colors. Bright blendable colors for my card making
Was recommended for a beginning watercolor course so I don't have any comparisons of other pencils for this use but works great!
Ran across these awesome pencils recently and they are perfect! The ability to layer and blend colors adds so much value to your drawing that I never got with the expensive pencils (and I have more than $600 worth). Speaking of blending... it's wonderful to be able to take a soft brush and lightly brush your pigment around as if it were graphite. I love needing only my soft blender brush, a cotton ball and a q-tip to perfect my art. These are amazing! They are water soluble so be careful if you use a fixative and spray from a good distance spraying only a mist, then allow it to fall on your artwork. A few layers will be needed. They work very well with wax and oil based colored pencils. I find the Prisma Verithins blend in flawlessly for my sharp final touches. I've even used my Faber Castell and Lyra in the final stage also to add some depth and value. Highly recommend! Within 3 months I've already needed to reorder because I can't stop creating!
My fine arts academy has used Col-erase art pencils in the past, and our teachers and students love them. They are easy to work with, bright colors, and a very pleasing pencil for students to work with. I recently was looking for the best price on these pencils because I am going to visit a large orphanage in Asia where I will teach a summer art program for a number of their students. SAM's Club on-line had the best price I could find, so I placed a large order. It is a great price for a great art pencil set. The reivew format requests pros and cons about these pencils, but I can't think of any cons. I love them, and SAM's had the best price, making it possible for me to take art supplies to the orphans.
These pencils were everything I was expecting and then some. No problems yet on erasing the blue after I do my inking. Now I see why animators use these pencils for sketching.
Love this pencil not only does the lead sharpness outlast a normal #2 pencil it doesn't smear & erases great, I'm a dispatcher writing all day, the fact that its blue makes things more interesting...only thing that would make is better is if it were purple my favorite color. Prismacolor Col-Erase makes a purple but can't find it.
Really doesn't erase well but does good shading
My granddaughter lives them. Great price!!
Got a box of these pencils which I used to LOVE... But... EVERY SINGLE ONE has BROKEN LEAD... so when I sharpen them, and try to draw or write, the lead falls out... HORRIBLE QUALITY... BUYER BEWARE... every single pencil... TOTAL SHAM... I have a dozen useless BREAKING POINT pencils... did I get a bad batch?? Does the seller care??? I doubt it but... We'll see....
