[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils are great for sketching portraits and are able to blend in with my color pencils. I hated how graphite made my colors look muddy and have visible harsh lines in my end result. With these they blend seamlessly without the lines looking harsh in the end. Here are a few examples of these sketches of my portraits using Col-erase pencils, with the end result used with Prismacolor premier color pencils.
I've always loved these pencils especially well for sketching and lineart before I start painting, inking, or coloring. I noticed a few reviewers that reviewed them strictly for coloring but that really isn't the best use for them if you want a vibrant color. They are a lighter color specifically so they can be erased well or hidden underneath ink or paint. The best reason to use these for sketching is that they don't smudge and dirty up your paper. Also you don't have to erase the entire work after finishing inking it! Anyway, great quality product that I will order again as needed.
I love using ColErase pencils for sketching. They are fairly durable, despite the ability to be erased, so you typically cannot get them fully out of a page. However, you can build up sketches by starting with lighter lines and gradually adding to them as you define your subject. These also work well for me as a base for color pencil drawings, as the ColErase just blend into the final colors. Work well with markers too! Haven't had any issues with breakages when sharpening, highly recommend these.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been doing art on and off since I was a kid. Last year I picked up these pencils and started to draw again. Wow these pencils do it all: blend, shade, and give brilliant color. I'm really happy with these and can't wait to create more artwork
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the very first in-depth drawing I had completed with the prismacolor pencils only! I have never loved a piece so much with how well everything blended, I could still not be happier with the result. Everyone should buy prismacolor pencils if you're into colored pencil medium! I 1000% recommend these to any beginning or advanced artist out there. Hands down the top brand in my opinion! ❤️
They're just what I wanted! The erasers better than I thought and they're very good quality in terms of sharpening them. I'm glad that they don't break easily.
Really doesn't erase well but does good shading
The prismacolor col-erase pencils are my favriote thing to use when i need to color a drawing or just need to add some color to something! The only reason these arent a 5 star is because the erasers dont completely erase all the pencil. But im super happy with these. :)
I really liked the color selection for these pencils and they erase relatively well. The lead is very firm so it's more difficult to blend the colors.
I just got these pencils today a gift from my mother um these pencils are garbage! The lead kept on braking while shapening them with a new shapener i might add so please dont waste your money i highly recordmend crayola erasable pencils fantastic prodect and there way cheaper and lead never brakes and they erase like a dream
