The colors are rich and deep, and when you color the color goes on evenly and smooth. And the biggest plus is they sharpenlike a dream! No lead falling out here!
I am literally in love with this brands color pencils. The 150 pack is pricey but it has lasted me a long time. A good thing about this brand is you can buy the color pencils on the side. If one finishes. These blend very well, if you press down hard or blend too much they will have a shine, which you can remove using different methods.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not much of an artist, but coloring and doodling relaxes me. I was interested in trying out some real artsy colored pencils. These did not disappoint! They were comfortable in my hand. They were so smooth, almost crayon-like, which made them a lot easier to use. I love the color variety, which you don't normally get with standard colored pencils. I also love the storage case to keep them organized and don't have to shove them back in a box. I would definitely recommend these colored pencils!
As an artist, Prismacolor colored pencils and markers have been my choice since childhood. Their standout feature is their blendability. The pencils glide smoothly, allowing seamless color transitions. They remain durable and I use each one until there is no more pencil left to sharpen! From early scribbles to professional pieces, their reliability and quality make them a top choice for artists at any stage of their career. For me, they've been a source of continuity, integral to my creative expression.
These are my absolute favorite colored pencils ever!!! They blend so easily and give smooth transitions when blending colors together. It's honestly so perfect and my pieces come out so vibrant in the end! The colors are beautiful and are really pigmented!
I was afraid that with the back to school deal they might be factory seconds My 48 set a year ago came nice too but had miss aligned printing and slightly wonky cores but this set was perfect. I think the QC is gotten its footing. People have to remember that they provide pencils that really preform I notice people complaining about details that if adjusted would make PC pencils cost maybe double… that capped lacquered perfect every time pencil… it costs money. I'm glad that PC puts their energy into the core and minimizes the cost of other materials! Awesome, as expected beautiful color pencils!
Prismacolored pencils are the premium art supply out there. With amazing color payoff and ultra bendable colors, you're in for a beautiful treat. Highly recommended of course!!!
these are the only pencils i'll use as an artist; i use them for all of my portraits. they are SO soft and blendable, and they layer absolutely beautifully. do yourself a favor and pick these up, whether you're a professional artist, just getting started, or wanting to learn how to draw!
As a beginner I go thru “trial and error” to find a suitable color pencils. After a few sets, I'm happy with Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencil set with 150 pens. It provides all colors possible with high pigmentation. The pens are soft but not easy to break. With careful maintenance, they'll last for years.
I just bought my Prismacolors today. Opened them up and the yellow is cracked completely down the side of the pencil. Other that they seem okay. They are smooth but i have heard about the sharpening issues. So I will have to see if that happens and update this if it does.
