We use this projector for outdoor movies and videos on a big blowup screen. The picture quality through an HDMI cord is absolutely awesome. It is way better than I ever expected. We used an upconverter DVD player. And the quality is amazing. I researched for a long time to find one. I was going to get the one with a built in DVD player for $600 and decided to get this one because of the brightness. Since we use it outdoors. I decided to spend a little more for quality and HD ability. And I am very happy. I also have not messed with any settings- I just turned it on- played some DVD's and it is perfect with no adjustments. Can't get better than that!!
