Use as protection of on my broken ankles and heel inside the boot to keep from rubbing and irritating skin. Sorry I did not have this time prior to getting a deep heal ulcer from wearing an cast.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice tight fit at top, though not completely waterproof
I was very happy to find this cast protector as tying a trash bag around my son's cast so he could shower was not always successful in keeping his cast dry. The protector was long enough to cover his cast which extends about 3 inches above his elbow. The problem with the protector is with the rubber gasket that keeps the water out. It was extremely difficult to stretch the opening big enough to put it on over the cast. After struggling with it, I was finally able to get it on - only for my son to wince in pain because it was super tight on his arm (he is 9 years old, average build). By the time he finished showering (maybe 10 minutes), he had a deep, red groove on his upper arm where it was cutting off his circulation. He said he never wanted to use it again and it's back to the trash bags for us. I understand the rubber seal has to be tight to be effective but this was a tad excessive.
