It works. I have been using it for 10 months now and love it. My home has high ceilings and not much noise travels up and down the stairs so, when I am in the kitchen I can’t hear my son crying. With this I can travel all around the house including outside and still having an eye on him while he is napping. Sometimes I do have a little interference but not often. I love that it is small portable and battery operated.
Ok, as a electronics nut i took it upon my self to do some research on baby monitoring technology that is being offered to consumers, since im about to be an uncle to baby girl i figured it was a great thing to do. What i found was that your normal run of the mill baby monitor was basically nothing more than a one way walkie talkie, the baby crys you hear and come to the rescue all for the low low price of $70.00. What i found is that alot of the security camera companys use there wireless cameras and wireless recievers for the at home security survalince systems so why not as a baby monitor. This Product has both worlds, it wireless, its has color display, it has a high sensitive microphone to hear the baby breathe for that certian peace of mind which i know is a big thing with new mothers, it mounts on the top of the crib and even has built in nightvision, but the abillity once your child has advanced in todler years the camera base itself becomes wireless, so lets say susies in the backyard playing well the ASTAK camera system is whatching and listening so you can do things you need to get done while keeping track at all times. I personally recommend this product for the money the ones that tend to be more exspensive arent really worth that extra dough and lets all the extra money you can save the better.
This item was so easy to setup it takes a few seconds and it works very well, just be sure to take off the lens cap on the camera
First off, I want to say that when this came in, I was ecstatic! I unwrapped it like a little girl on Christmas morning just to try it out. I was very happy with the product at first. I was looking at all of its features with a big 'ol smile on my face. I just HAD to hook it up to my tv and everything! There was color, there was night vision (which was a must) and then I noticed 4 channels. The whole 4-channel thing made me very happy because of the fact that I have read many reviews of monitors with 2 channels and you were seeing someone else's baby! (creepy) So I LOVED the fact that there were more channels. Just being excited, I put it away until I was ready to use it. Then my niece (1 1/2 months) came over to spend the night so YAY because I get to actually put it to real use. I was so disappointed. I could not get one clear channel. There were lines going through the picture. Sometimes worse than other times, but never completely clear. There was always a constant static in the sound too, so I didn't even bother turning on the volume. But when I did, aside from the static, I could hear the baby breaths and everything! So the ONLY reason I am not recommending this is because it didn't work that well FOR ME. Maybe it was my house? Aside from the static, I LOVE this monitor.
I The range on the product is leaves much to be desired. I'm not able to make it 5 feet away from my daughters room without it cutting out and sputtering static instead of my babies sounds. If you just want to be able to see your baby at night and your room shares a wall then it works however I had to buy a cheaper model to carry with me during the day if I was going to be out of earshot.
I got a gift card for walmart as a baby shower gift. I used it to buy this monitor. I read the reviews and bought it. I loved it. This works great! however, after 3.5months of using it, the video receiver died. It doesnt work. doesnt turn on. I contacted the company to see what they would do about it. waiting to hear. The worst part was we were on vacation when it happened and couldnt fully enjoy ourselves cause we had to keep checking on the baby every half hour.
This monitor is not worth the money. It works great when it is light out, but at night, the night vision is poor. The whole point of the monitor is for night time use and I can't see a thing, just fuzzy. I will be returning this and getting the $100 monitor, my friend has it and it works great. I shouldn't have tried to save a few bucks.
I purchased this product based on the reviews and was disappointed! The sound quality was full of static. The screen constantly has lines. I tried all the channels and they are the same! I am going to return this product and would not recommend it.
