My husband loves these tools he was sooo happy when we got them and then I told him it was less then $70 dollars he gasp and couldn't believe me til I show him at walmart he said is soooo much worth the money and we got it really fast and its just been more then expected from me and even him. I would for reals get this Item again if this get lost or some like that .
Best Price On This Amount Of Tools I Have Ever Bought. Great Service, Very Fast Delivery, & Very Cheap Postage/Shipping. I Order Something From Wal-mart About Every Week. You Can't Go Wrong...With Wal-Mart!
I am a longtime Craftsman tool owner. This set offers way more tools for the dollar than Sears' Craftsman does, even with Craftsman Club pricing. Tools are pristinely polished unlike Craftsman and fit snugly into the case, way unlike Craftsman.
Several years ago, I somehow found a Stanley Mechanics Tool set on clearance for like 30 dollars. Even as a teenager I knew that this was a good deal and I was raised by a shade tree mechanic, so I snapped that deal up. The first set saw a fair amount of use and abuse and I never had trouble out of it in probably 7 years. It was stolen a year ago. When it came time to swap the transmission out in my car, and I blew out the guts of a cheaper ratchet, I bought a set of Stanley's at Wally World and it has stood up to some terrible abuse. I would hardily recommend these tools to anybody.
I used to be a Craftsman kind of guy. I always used them because I really like strong tools. Well a few years ago I found myself on a tight budget and needed a set which had most of the basic tools. I really had my doubts about the quality of this product. I expected sockets to snap, ratches to strip out, etc. Boy was I ever wrong. I've been using this kit for years and I have NEVER broken or remotely cracked a socket and I have put them through some severe abuse. Many of my stanely sockets have experienced several hundred pounds per square inch and never broke. My ratchets have also been put through some tough work having been cranked on harder than most would. But when you stuck working under a car and got a stanely ratchet next to you, that is what you pick up. When I have to leave in a hurry and need some tools, I always grab this set because I know it is going to hold up fine. Walmart does sell some cheaper chinese tools for those who may only need to fix a bike or something, but those tools would never hold up to automotive work. Therefore, I was pleased to find that the Stanely brand of tools that Walmart was also carrying was actually quite strong. In the last few years, I have never went to replace a broken stanely socket, because none of them break. I only go to pick up socket sizes that I don't already have. I wish Walmart would start selling Stanely sockets as individual sockets instead of a whole kit. I have most already, but there are a few rarer larger sockets I would like to get and I would like for them to be Stanely.
Very Surprised how well the Tools where make and the quality.......
I have always owned Craftsman tools because they are guaranteed for life. Over the last 40 years I have broken screw drivers and a few rachet wrenches that I over used. I returned them and got free ones. I started buying Stanley tools at the Black and Decker outlet store in Birch Run and found them to be just as good as the Craftsman tools I used. Also the price was 1/2 the Craftsman price.I bought this set for my son as a birthday present so that he would stop borrowing tools from me.It is a good starter set and can handle 90% of the things around a house or automobile. As more difficult projects are undertaken and more specialty tools are needed they can be added at a good price.
When I bought this tool set, a week ago tomorrow, I had only intended on changing my oil and small things such as that. Little did I know that this set would be used as much as what it has been. With this set in 6 days I have changed my oil, put in a new alternator, and changed spark plugs. My only 2 setbacks is that the screwdriver bits are not magnetic, I have already lost one, and I would say there needs to be longer socket driver extensions. Over all, you get what you pay for and this is a good set to keep in the truck!
