Disclaimer: I do NOT own a Kitchen Aid. This mixer has performed well so far for my wife. It folds fairly heavy yeast dough, and whips up a frothy meringue. Trying to cream butter resulted in a fair amount of scraping the walls of the bowl, but we kind of expected that. Overall, we would buy again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really impressed with the quality and function of my Hamilton Beach 6 Speed Stand Mixer. I have never owned a stand mixer before, and I never realized just how much I was missing out on. This mixer is so much easier to use, and much faster than me mixing everything by hand. The instructions are easy to understand and it's very easy to use. The head tilts back and forth with the push of a button, to accommodate taking the bowl in and out and switching out the beater attachments. This mixer comes with three attachments, a flat beater, a whisk and a dough hook. Each work amazingly well at mixing and folding dough, cake mix, etc with ease. It's sturdy and well-made and doesn't move around when in use. Little suction cups on the bottom of the mixer work great at keeping it in place on my counter. The mixing bowl has a nice weight to it and sort of locks into place, so it doesn't move during mixing. I'm extremely happy with this little stand mixer and look forward to using it for years to come.

The 6 speeds makes it so versatile to use, whether you're baking a cake, making bread or mixing ingredients for a dinner entrée. I used it the first time to mix the ingredients for my famous green chili. It was wonderful to be able to mix wet ingredients without them flying all over because of the lowest speed setting. I then used it to bake my mother's 80th birthday cake and frosting. The cake was so nice and moist because of the mixer speed and beater blade. I'll be using this for years to come and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Whether you are a beginner or a pro, it's very a nice stand mixer. I enjoy how thin this stand mixer is, it doesn't take up a lot of counter space. It has a really strong suction cup, so it doesn't slide off the counter. I made multiples thing, such as cookies, breads, pizza doughs and whipped cream. This stand mixer did its job very well! It was even able to handle the thickest of dough. It was slightly loud though.

I have used it to make cupcakes, cakes, cinnamon rolls, frosting, just about anything you can think of! I love the different speeds. Especially that it has different attachments to go along with it. The whisk works well on thinner frostings like Royal frosting. The dough hook has been great for my cinnamon rolls and cookies. I'm going to attempt to make bread next. And the regular paddle attachment I use all the time for my cupcakes and cakes. It's very simple to switch attachments to make other things. Cleaning is a breeze. The bowl secures by simply turning it and locking it in. Hands down my favorite item in my kitchen.
I have always wanted a stand mixer, but could never afford the several hundred for the one and only. so I decided to try this one, I am thrilled I bought this one. first thing I mixed was cookies, and anyone knows they can be a big job for a mixer. it sailed right through it. today made meringue, it worked great. I love that I can get it going , and do something else while it does the whipping. thank you

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used a hand mixer so I was very excited to try a stand mixer for the first time. Straight out of the box, it was extremely light and compact. Didn't take up a bunch of space which is great for someone who doesn't have a ton of counter space like me. So far I've used it to make cakes and pizza dough. I thought that it might struggle with the pizza dough since it's a bit tougher but it handled it with no problem. The attachments were very easy to replace also. Just push the side of the button to lift the machine up a bit and switch them out. Only thing I will note is that if you're someone who bakes a lot and looking for this to be your primary mixer I probably wouldn't suggest it as the bowl is not that big so you'd be mixing forever for a big order. Other than that it's perfect. Whether you're a beginner like me or someone who's very familiar with standing mixers, this is a great value and great quality!
I was a little skeptical at first, but I'm glad I purchased this mixer. It makes baking a lot easier. I just wish there was a mixing attachment with the scraper to scrape the sides of the bowl while mixing. The mixer is a little louder than expected but that doesn't effect the performance. I use this mixer about twice a week and I love it, especially for the price.
