This was a bear getting home from in store pickup. It took 3 of us to get the box on the truck. I only had myself to get it off the truck and into the house. It took around 4hrs to put it together but I stuck to it and this machine is massive. I had bought another about a year ago from a different company different brand and it looks like a toy in comparison. It lasted as long as a toy also. I put it together by myself but I could have used a second person. All in all after the ordeal its the best piece of workout equipment I have ever owned. It compares to the ones at the gym very heavy duty...
works great! does everything you need a good elliptical to do. high incline, constant variable speeds. doesn't fail.
The ProForm 1110E Elliptical is sturdy and smooth operating and has a good digital display of elapsed time, distance covered, calories burned, and pulse rate. Assembly was straightforward and not difficult. Controls for resistance and ramp height are conveniently located and changes in these functions are smooth. The only problem I have is that I have long legs and sometimes bump my knees on the bottom of the display at the highest ramp setting if my toes are at the front of the foot pedal and I happen to lean my body forward slightly. This model was advertised as having a 20" to 22" adjustable stride. The heel of the foot pedal does have a 2" vertical adjustment, but I need to move the foot pedals back 2" to have sufficient knee clearance. Still, this is a very good exercise machine and I enjoy using it.
The first couple workouts were "meh". The machine felt tight. What I mean by tight is the arms were close both to my sides and there wasn't much room to stretch. After 45 minutes this becomes bothersome during the workout. After the third workout the elliptical began making noises. The foot arms began to squeak and then there was a grinding type noise coming from under the cover of where the flywheel was. Returned for refund (ya, that was fun and quite the workout).
