Unbelievable workout. You can push yourself beyond your limits. Instantaneous resistance changes takes hiit to a new level for me. One downside is the delivery company. The machine I ordered took a month to be delivered to my house. Setup was easy and it seems to be a high quality machine. I have used it almost daily for a month.
The Proform cardio HIIT pro trainer is gym quality equipment. All the moving parts are smooth and the controls are easy to use. My wife and I are in love with sugar sands of Clearwater Florida. I was able to program a map into the trainer of the beach. Now when there is snow on the ground in South Dakota, we can run along the beach and pass by Pier 60. Can't give any cons on this equipment, only pros. One thing that makes it so smooth, the big flywheel (I think it is close to 30lbs). Also I was able to put it together in a hour and the instructions were easy to read. This machine also has a small footprint so it can be used in any room. I have been a gym rat for a number of years, I have seen the good and the bad when it comes to gym equipment. This has the highest rating I have ever given to a product. Corey B. The Cardio IIFit is great for preparing for bike riding. It strengthens your legs, gluts and really works your breathing. It gives you options for interval training and different visuals on the screen for tracking your progress. This is a tough machine and gives you a good workout.
Machine was boxed carefully so that it arrived without so much as a scratch. Assembly was easy but time consuming. It looks fantastic! Operation is very simple and I love all the options available for creating an exercise program. The touch screen is well placed and highly functional. I purchased the iFit membership and every day a new 'featured workout' becomes available. You 'run' at locations all over the world using Google Street View. There are plenty of manual programs available too, along with stock Street View workouts available at any time. The unit is build extremely well and is incredibly sturdy. It does not require much floor space either and is compact enough for me to fit in my bedroom so i can watch tv while working out. The heart rate monitor works well, especially in tandem with the iFit program which syncs with an Android or iOS app on your phone or iPad. That makes it very easy to create goals and a daily workout regimen to follow. I prefer to us my own sound system, but the built in system is adequate, not great, but everything you'd expect it to be. The only issues i've had with it are relatively minor thus far. First, the iPad/tablet holder "grabs" a hold of the tablet just fine, and it has the ability to pivot to adjust to your desired angle. Trouble is that hinge is not tight or robust enough, and the constant bouncing and movement of the unit causes the iPad to flop around and become unusable because you can't see it when it has flopped all the way down. Second issue happened during the course of a regular workout. One of the large bolts that holds the foot pedals to the unit sheered off! Not sure if i had tightened the bolt too much, but nevertheless it should have never sheered off. There are 4 total bolts per foot pedal, so i'm not concerned at all that anything further will develop - I'm just a little disappointed that this happened. Lastly, it squeaks! I haven't been able to find the source of the noise yet. Overall-an incredible unit!!
I had a few small issues when assembling the machine. Some of the plastic pieces were difficult to tighten without breaking. Also the nuts that were integrated/welded did not match the threads of the bolts and cause cross threading issues repeatedly. After it was finally assembled. The machine is very sturdy and quiet. I can use the machine while wife watches TV without competing with ye volume.
We purchased the Pro model hoping to take advantage of the extra capabilities. When it arrived the packaging was intact, assembly was fairly straight forward. It came with a one year iFit membership but thankfully I did not activate it right away. I tried to use the machine in manual mode but it would not detect movement, so after 30 seconds it stops and tells you to start moving to continue the workout. In the trouble shooting section of the manual it says to adjust the reed switch to magnet distance until it detects motion. I tried this but no matter what I did it still would not read. Upon further inspection, I noticed a wire that had been pinched in two farther inside the machine. I have contacted iCon Fitness customer service as instructed in the manual but they are not very responsive. When we were researching our purchase, almost all of the negative reviews of the ProForm equipment were based on experiences with customer service, not the equipment itself. Now we know why.
I would NOT buy from this company again because of deceptive marketing practices. On the website it says you can finance over 18 months for $73 a month and that is not true. I filled out all the online paper work and it came back said I was approved for a ridiculous amount but never said what my payment would be or what the terms would be. Then I get my first bill and realize it's financed over 12 months for $109 a month which I had NOT planned for. I called the financing company on the billing statement. Was on hold for at least half an hour. They said that proform was in charge of promotions and they could not fix it without authorizaiton from them. They said to call proform and their client services would call them back for a call with me where we could clear it up. So I called proform. I sat on hold...again...this time for 45 minutes. I finally spoke to someone who transferred me to the billing dept. I sat on hold for ANOTHER 30 minutes. Then that person said no that proform had no control over the promotions (yet let me point out it is ALL over the web site for the 18 month deal), and I would have to call the financing company. The financing company -- by the way -- has proform in the name. I asked to speak to her supervisor -- and she refused saying she was the supervisor and no one else was available. NExt time I will just buy a product from bowflex because proform's customer service is TERRIBLE.
2-3 times per week for 30-minutes. The i-Fit interface is not useful to me. Too many bells and whistles and I prefer simple routines. I use the manual feature. The battery on the heart-rate monitor is dead already after less than a month of use. The unit has an annoying squeak and the customer email service is laborious and so far ineffective; the response is delayed and inaccurate. I would return the unit, but it is past the 30-days and it would cost me $500 to return it.
-Product took longer than quoted for delivery -Very noisy bearings with first use. Not expected from a professional product at this price point. After 46 minutes of hold time we were provided a drawing to disassemble the main unit that actually came preassembled to diagnose and fix the problem ourselves. -touch screen version keeps saying the machine needs to update then fails update. Tried online chat, was told I need to call. Called and was on hold for an hour and finally hung up. -touch screen doesn't show ifit classes that I subscribed too, has preinstalled workouts for everything except the max HIIT elliptical trainer that I am using so it's basically useless. - haven't found time to spend over 2 hours with customer service during only 8-5 hours when I myself am working.
