Detailed product description

Vorson Electric Ukuleles are the coolest instruments that we have seen in a long time. If you play guitar you are going to want one. If you play ukulele you will have to have one. Dual single coil pickups provide excellent ukulele tone with nice variation via a three-way toggle and tone control. The necks are very comfortable and the ukes are really easy to play because of the adjustable truss rod and bridge.

Excellent. You can change to low G if you want.

It sounds great through my Vox 10 watt amp. I changed the high g string to a low G by replacing it with a .026" diameter from D'Addario (EHR310 half-round wound, which don't squeak when you slide your finger) set of guitar strings. That's the 4th string of an electric guitar set. Now it's excellent for blues and jazz. Someday I'll probably change the other strings to the 10, 13, and 17 strings of the same guitar set. When you change the G string, you'll need to move the bridge block of that string farther back (away from the fretboard) slightly farther than that of the C string, using a small Phillips screwdriver. Check the intonation by playing the G string open then fretted at the 12th fret, which should be a high G note. If your electronic tuner doesn't say that the 12th fret is a perfect G, adjust the bridge block until it does. You can also adjust the bridge height for each string to get the action you want without fret buzz, using the small hex wrench that comes with the ukulele. Watch YouTube videos for details about changing electric guitar strings properly and doing a "setup". By the way, the illustration shows a dark fretboard (rosewood) but the uke that was shipped to me has a blond fretboard same as the head and neck. It's lovely, elegant, even nicer than illustrated here. Watch some YouTube videos about setting the pickup switch and adjusting the knobs to get the tone quality you want. It's similar to the Fender Telecaster with single-coil pickups.
