Have had two other car seats, as kids are growing, but others over a couple of months fell apart, but with the compass seats the kids are far more protected and have much more comfort than ever before and the kids love getting into the seats for long journeys, the head protection is adjustable so will have theses seats for the duration of there youth. this is a good buy!
I searched and researched car seats for a very long time and wasn't sure which one to get for my little girl. I didn't know if I spent more money did that mean I would get a better / safer car seat?! After talking to my pediatrician he explained to me price had nothing to do w/ it being more safe! So then it came down to which seat fit my little girl best. She is very big for her age and this seat seemed to have EVERYTHING I wanted in a car seat and the "hip" giraffe print was just the cherry on top! This seat is very easy to install and adjust! I was concerned that my daughter wouldn't be able to sleep in this seat because it didn't recline but the side impact "wings" have kept her head from falling forward! We love this seat and will be purchasing another one (in camo) real soon for my youngest son!
This car seat is super cute and very handy. It fold up so easily, and is very cushiony. My daughter loves this. Also I have a girlfriend who's daughter is older than mine who rides in my car sometimes, the headrest adjusts so easily for her. I recomend this product to anyone with a kid ready for a booster. ****
Boosters aren't the safest carseat choice for kids under age 5, so I would not recommend this seat for kids younger than that. If they are outgrowing a regular harnessed seat, then look for a seat with taller top slots and a higher harness weight limit. This seat is also short in the back, and probably will not fit too many kids till they are ready for the adult seatbelt at 4'9". It's a great seat for that limited age and size group that fits in it, however. The folding armrests prevent misuse (easier to buckle the belt properly!) The side impact protection is great without crowding the child's head. And the folding-up feature is fabulous for travel or storage.
I needed a new car seat for my daughter and I could not find anything that met my specifications for a good price. This seat looked really nice and it matched the interior of my car. Well the picture does not do this seat justice. It is the perfect print from my little princess and it is well padded. I mean luxury! She thinks it is boootiful. I could not have bought a more quality seat for this price. Well done Compass.
We(My Daughter and I) haven't had a chance to thouroughly evaluate this booster seat yet but we plan to take a couple long distance drives this summer and I'll try to update later. So far it has been Great! She says it's very comfortable and spacious. It was a breeze to set up and it's stylin too. I think it was a good value for the money.
My daughter loves her "giraffe" seat! It is very comfortable for her and fits well in our cars. It is nice to be able to fold it compactly and stow in the trunk when we are not using it. We brought the seat along on a recent airplane trip and I was able to fold the seat and loop it over the handle of my rolling suitcase...very convenient...
This seat is nice and wide, comfortable, and safe! It arrived at our home completely put together...a HUGE plus in any parents book! I love the ease of raising the back (which you can do with the child sitting in it) and that there is no gap once the headrest is raised. I haven't used the folding feature yet, but that will come in handy on plane trips. We have to drive 70 miles one-way to get to a WalMart and grocery store and my daughter does not complain in her new seat! That is the stamp of a great product! (Oh, and it is stylish, too!)
This is a great booster seat for my six year old daughter, it supports her head and neck when she falls asleep. She picked the giraffe fabric and she liked that it has two cup holders and arm rests. The head rest is adjustable, the entire unit is light and folds. Only because I did not read the directions I did not know you had to pull the seat out very hard to open, and it makes some noise while pulling apart.
This is a good looking car seat with a cushiony bottom. This brand is supposedly designed by former employees of the other car seat companies. They supposedly also polled parents about what they wanted to see in the car seat, and it appears that maybe they took notes. The first thing I noticed is that there is a specific pocket designed on the back of the seat to store the instruction manual. This one won't get lost! The cup holders are great for the child, along with the really cool look of this fabric and seat. I love the fact that it folds up so one may store it. Additionally, headreast pulls up for growth. Not sure how this compares with others, but it is supposed to be "no gap". I was very concerned with safety, and it appears that this brand exceeds the NTSB's expectations. I hope it will hold up over time...only time, and kids will tell.
