We bought this one for my husband's truck. I really like this seat. It is easy to buckle since you use regular seat belt. It is comfortable and easy to pull out and fold to fit in trunk of you don't need it.
I like the style of the seat and ease of use as well as the long term comfort for my daughter when on long trips.
My husband and I researched car seats before our daughter was born, and we have gone with Britax seats for the infant seat and then the transitional seat from age 1 to 4. We ordered this one because moving the Britax from different vehicles was exhausting due to the weight of the car seat and how bulky it is. Ordering this one, the deciding factors were the safety guidelines, awards it had received, and the fact that she is able to harness/unbuckle a seat-belt without assistance. The 5 point harness at her age was slowing us down and not giving her independence. The Britax will remain her official car-seat because I can't justify getting rid of it based on what we paid for it, but I wish this one stayed in my vehicle for the long haul. This was purchased for times when she would be traveling with others. When this booster seat arrived, I was amazed! The seating is plush, it is light to maneuver, it looks sharp, and it fits her fantastically while being able to grow with her. The red areas indicate where the seat-belt should be placed and moveable arm rests are fantastic when applying the seat-belt because they move out of the way. I love the extra benefit of the head-rest, and also love how the back can be removed when she gets a little bigger as well! My daughter loves the holders that can be pushed back in & feels so grown-up. Love this seat!
I trust consumer reports for their ratings and this was their #1 recommendation for a seat in this category. You can'T beat the price too.
I bought this for my son because we were commuting long distance a lot. I like the seat but I wish it had just a little more padding in the butt area. It is more padded than most seats but a little more would make all the difference. Easy to take out of the car and switch cars if needed and I like the look of it.
My husband and I researched boosters seats before purchasing this one for our daughter. It all comes down to a matter of preference with what you feel is best, but here are the reasons we ended up choosing this one: 1. Highest rated for booster seats (in class of highback boosters) in consumer reports (specifically for this model-B540, I am not sure about the other models-like B530 or B570). 2. Top rated for IIHS (insurance institute for highway safety). 3. When moving height of booster there is no gap between the neck and body of the booster seats-the entire back moves up to grow with your child. 4. Cushioning and roominess (for comfort). 5. Folds up to transport easily from one car to the other. 6. Retractable arm rests so she can learn to buckle herself (eventually). It lives up to all of these things! We have only been using it for about 1 month, but we are happy with what we have seen so far. And our daughter loves it and is very comfortable. So far we have no negative complaints about the seat, but if I find anything I will update my review! I hope this was helpful. :)
My friend recommended this seat. my son is not very happy with it! I do like the support that it has and the cushion that it provides is great! But it uses the cars seat belt to hold child and seat in place which makes it uncomfortable for the child. I am thinking of returning it and looking for one that has its own harness attached to the seat itself. i hope this is helpful. we do like the seat just not the harness. it makes a road trip a hard one. we had to stop every 30 min to adjust it because it got to tight.
