We got this gate to keep our 2 yr old son out of the kitchen... It so far is working great at keeping him out.. It's rather tall so if you have a climber it's going to take a while for them to climb it..LOL The first couple time you open it it's rather difficult but after it gets opened and closed a few time's it's no problem to undo the latch!! This gate is very very simple to use!!
I was searching for baby gates here and was reading all the reviews of gates. Afte not being able to make up my mind I went to my local Wal-Mart and picked up this gate, except for I have the short er version. This gate is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was only $9.99 and is tighter than tight in my doorway so my son cannot push or pull or fall into it and knock it down. The rubber grips do not leave marks and what more do you need? Do not waste money on electric gates or plastic ones or a gate that costs $80 unless you have a daycare and absolutely need the convenience. With this gate, I just step right over and keep going!
I bought this gate for my grandbabies who are now living with me. Just pull it out of the box take off the plastic covering and it's ready to go. Easy to use and made of nice durable material. I would recommend this Child's Gate to anyone who has a toddler they need to keep out of certain areas of the house.
Perfect fit for an oversize doorway. Trying to train a new puppy, and this does the job!! Little high to keep trying to jump over, but other than that it is great. Little on the flimsy side, not sure I would trust it if I was using it for kids, but for a puppy it works great.
I bought 3 of these gates to help me keep my 3 and 4 year olds in one room at a time. They had learned how to unlatch the shorter gates and these worked perfectly to combat that. They are nice and tall, good quality, are more secure in the doorway frame and a little bit harder to latch and unlatch. At first though I did have a problem with it being too hard to latch, but after a few times it eased up enough for easy use.
I bought this because I have a jumper and was having to double the shorter gates so my newest wouldn't get out of the kitchen. This works perfectly! It's just tall enough that he intimidated to jump over it but short enough the cats aren't afraid to make the leap. GREAT!
This baby gate is not only great in price but is very well worth your hard earned cash. It is very sturdy and gets the job done. Not only is it tall in height it is very good in keeping little ones out of harms way. I use this at the bottom of my stairs and have the locking part away from the children. This gate being so high the kids can't reach the lock on the other side. I also use this gate in between my slidding door to prevent breack-ins. You can use this anywhere i love it and the price too better than the cheap and over priced plastic ones!
We actually bought this product to keep our dog out of the living room when we're not home. This wire mesh gate is easy to use. It's tall enough that the dog can't climb/jump over it. It's not plastic mesh so she can't "eat" her way through it like she did the last one I bought. The price is right and the quality is great!!!
my only problem with this gate is adjusting the width, it was somewhat hard for me to rise the plastic handle. Other then that it's great, I love it my Lab/Shepard mix hates its, she has to stay in the area I put her in. With the wire mesh she can't chew thought it.
I love that this gate is made in the United States of America. It is a good size gate and fits uneven surfaces. I bought it with dogs in mind and they can not clear the height. I have one major problem with the gate it is very hard to open. There is a plastic finger grip which you have to pull up on to release the gate and it is very hard on your index and middle finger. Trying to dislodge the gate pull takes a lot of force, and does hurt your fingers. The gate is very sturdy and a child would not be able to do it. So if you have children in mind for the gate they could not pull the latch to open it, I have a hard time!
