I purchased this item for my Mother-in-law, who was recently diagnosed with hypertension. Not only is it easy to use but we checked it against another digital BP monitor and a manual(nurse performed) BP monitor. It is accurate and I think it will give her the motivation to take her BP on a more regular basis.
After MUCH research - Consumer Reports, etc., I chose this model for the small size and high ratings. I took it to my Drs appt, and we compared it to their BP reading, and it was spot on. I like the cuff holder it has, and I can put it in a tote bag and take it to work with me. I plan on ordering another one to keep at work.
Although this product is listed for women, I see no practical reason it cannot be used by men also. After searching several stores I found WalMart, overall, to be the best buy although not the cheapest. I presently (and in the past) use several ReliOn Health Care Products and find them to be of very good quality at a reasonable price.
This is the first blood pressure monitor that I've ever bought. I was really surprised about how easy it was to use and how comfortable the cuff is. This is one that my doctor recommended that I get. I plan on getting one for my sister now that I know how good this one is.
I took this device to my doctor and we compared readouts to the blood pressure monitor there and we were spot on! Set the cuff and slide it off and on as it is very difficult to put on if you are by yourself. But once you get a good fit, sliding works great!
I have this product and just love it. It is reasonably priced, the cuff is very comfortable, very easy to use, a very large display, and it runs on either batteries or a DC adapter that comes with the unit. If you have to monitor your blood pressure on a daily basis, this is the unit I would suggest.
I was placed on a new blood pressure med. My old monitor was giving me false readings. I read the reveiws on this one. For the price, it is quite a value. The ease in using it is just one finger. It has a memory so you can guage your pressures. It works just fine on men, too. My husband used it and liked it too.
This is a great blood pressure monitor to keep at home. I love it coz its pink and has two power options (battery and ac adapter) and its automatic. Its portable enough to carry and very easy to setup. I'm glad I can monitor my blood pressure everyday with this useful product.
I bought this BP Monitor, to check my BP of course, it is very awkward to put the cuff on. It does not have an accurate reading. and I am very dissatisfied. If I were an elderly person I could not use this machine at all. I would not reccomend this product to anyone. Sorry for the bad review.
I am returning this product. I purchased to monitor BP as even with medication I am running high. At my Doctor's office it registered inconsistent with manual reading twice. The PA was not impressed. So I am purchasing a manual kit saving $20 and the PA taught me how to take BP. Pump to 200 release slowly the 1st number is when you hear the beat the second number is when the beating stops. Simple enough for me to practice till I master. No batteries, A/C and errors!
